I am 64 this year. I lost my Son who was killed in action when I was 49 and had my last period at 52. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but lately have had hot flushes and although I'm always exhausted I've felt even more so. It appears my blood tests were satisfactory. My Nurse Practitioner believes

ART Testosterone Therapy in Men w Advanced PCa
...ditto from Dr Morgentaler. Its astonishing that we have been treated with a regime that is based on the published results of one man, 60 years after the fact. Its said that it takes 50 years to get a bad idea out of medicine and 100 to get a good one introduced...I think they were off on the latter

Has anyone tried less frequent levothyroxine dosing to intentionally allow for fluctuation of T4 levels?
Hi everyone, I'm hypothyroid and also have low testosterone. Injectable testosterone cypionate has roughly a 1-week half-life, just like levothyroxine. Hear me out for a minute... Most doctors prescribe & suggest once-weekly testosterone injections. You spend part of the week above the range and

TET Testosterone Treatment on Clinical Medicine
Dr Abe Morgentaler interviewed on Grand Rounds on 'Saturation Theory' and testosterone treatment for men with and without prostate cancer. His conclusions are that testosterone above a level of 240-250 ng/ml dont affect progression, or initiation of prostate cancer. If true this makes the need to take

I’m taking aspirin and dr is

HRT issues - Plus need to hear about experiences with testosterone
I've been on continuous HRT - Utrogestan 100mg, 2 pumps of oestrogel daily and 1 vagirux tablet twice weekly since October 2022. I'm 45. I recently switched from oral to vaginal utrogestan due to depressed mood but that definitely doesn't suit me so I switched back after 11 days. I started to experience

ASCO 23 - Transdermal square-wave testosterone therapy
This might interest followers of BAT. As you no doubt know, Denmeade's BAT cycle is a 28-day modulation of testosterone [T] from ~2,000 ng/dL down to near castrate. The BAT cycle typically begins with a T-cypionate injection into muscle. In the new pilot study, T was delivered daily, transdermally

BAT in the UK: does if officially exist
I'm possibly headed for mcrpc and would like to have had a go with BAT. However, it looks like the UK offers nothing to those who would give BAT a chance. Can't believe that all the work is being done in the USA by Denmeade et al. Given the status of testosterone cypionate in most of the EU, desperate

Male infertility and hypothyroid
hello I wondered if anyone has experience of male infertility despite being adequately treated in combination of T3 and T4. I am fully treated and under the care of a private Endo who is very good so no issues around the thyroid. My testosterone has always been low (below “normal” reference range

New Study On Diet & PC
New study reported in The Washington Post sez a plant-heavy diet can reduce the progression of prostate cancer. Here's the article, which I can also post a PDF of if people cannot access it: https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/02/14/prostate-cancer-diet-fruits-vegetables/ Here's a short

Elreada: minimal effective dose
Hi, PSA has gone from .32 in July 2022 to .52 in October to 1.99 in January. Worried that decapeptil is failing. NHS consultant has been on at me for two years to go on abi etc. Have resisted as unlike the Moffitt (which makes sense to me) in Tampa the SOC in the UK is to pursue maximum tolerated

Rising PSA after radiation and ADT
Hi All, I was diagnosed with PCa in April 2022 (Gleason 3+4). My PSA was 28. I was given a 3 month shot of lupron in June 2022. In August I had 20 sessions of IGRT - Image guided radiation therapy. These are PSA levels: 0.56 (Sept 2, 2022) 1.6 (Dec 27, 2022) 5.3 (Feb 14, 2023) Should I be concerned

chlamydia questions
I have three questions that are giving me sleepless nights : 1.Since i had chlamydia for 6 months before getting it cured would it have damaged anything permanently? I'm asking this because i seem to have a slight tingling sensation in my scrotum and some light pain in the groin. I got my testosterone

Firmagon and PSA
Hello All I just wanted to drop in and share my recent progress towards HDR BT. I took my first Firmagon shot on January 9th and had hot flashes and cold clammy sweats two weeks later. Since then they have increased in frequency but I just step outside and the cold air takes care of them in seconds.

PSA going down?
I've been on a ADT vacation for a little over two years - and my PSA is rising and i was expecting to go back on ADT this month - but my results came back and showed a dramatic drop. My recent history is: June&July 2022 - 0.2 Sept 2022 - 0.4 Nov 2022 - 0.6 Dec 2022 - 1.1 Jan 2023 - 1.5 Feb 2023
