chlamydia questions

I have three questions that are giving me sleepless nights :

1.Since i had chlamydia for 6 months before getting it cured would it have damaged anything permanently? I'm asking this because i seem to have a slight tingling sensation in my scrotum and some light pain in the groin. I got my testosterone test and it was good and i got a scrotum ultrasound which was again good.

2.Will there be recovery possible for whatever i'm experiencing slowly as the body recovers over time.?

3.Are there chances that the bacteria is still living in my gut.? (i tested negative in the PCR test on my urine sample)

1 the chance of long term issues for uncomplicated chlamydia infections is low. It is more of an issue for women who have had complications ( PID )

2 if you have ongoing symptoms you should discuss with a sexual health doctor or a urologist. It is good your ultrasound was negative.

3 chlamydia doesnt live in your gut. It can cause rectal infections, but oral medication for genital chlamydia ( penis ) would have treated it.

Hello galen i dont even know how to thank you for your response. I mean not just me ive noticed that you've helped so many people online with your answers. Its just really heartwarming. I did consult two urologists regarding the same thing and they brushed it aside and said it was nothing(the tingling feeling in the scrotum). But im sure i feel something and yet the ultra sound was negative. So im a little confused but im learning to stay strong. Thanks once again
