Why Do I Need Such A Massive Dose Of T3?
I started taking T3, T4 and NDT meds around 2 years ago - the dosage that keeps me functional is 80mcg of T3 (but 100mcg is better), and 3 capsules of 300mg ThyroGold (equivalent to around 4-5 grains of NDT I've been told). When I try and switch it out for 200mcg of T4 or 100mcg of T4, the relief of

2nd PSA Post RP
6 weeks post RP and removal of lymph glands with one positive, the PSA was 8.4 and Testosterone 15. I hesitated on starting Lupron and discussed with both the Oncologist and the Urology surgeon whether surgical castration would be appropriate. The decision was that I would wait for another PSA/Test bloodwork

Hi there, I have been having conflicting thyroid results and am hoping for some insight. I’ve been sluggish, short of breath with exertion, frequent wake ups at night, constipation, dry skin, and without a period for five months. My TSH has been on the low end of normal (.3) while I also have low free

After the BCR and the ADT vacation – All the tests results are in – it's curtain time - what comes next – what to do next ?
A quick background review … Started out as 'I can't pee ! - a TOTAL urinary blockage. Dateline March break- 2017. Spent 4 months in and out of emergency wards with out of control UTI's, a catheter for 4 months (which I was taking care of with NO CLUE as to how to manage it) and no urologist or

Raising testosterone numbers
Testosterone and its relationship to cancer cell gross: I just read a recent study that showed that testosterone accelerates cancer cell growth. I guess that makes sense because I had hormone therapy along with Zytiga For a two-year period and I am now stabilized with no evidence of cancer. for a two

HI IM NEW HERE
Sorry in advance for the long post but here is a rough outline of my story the last 16 years I got diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 15years old after an 18 month battle with over 5 doctors and gynaecologists whom all told me I was too young to have it as it's not in my family. Before being diagnosed

Initial Test Results after First 3 Months
I received my first test results after I had blood tests and completed my CT SIM. I’ve been on Eligard for almost 3 months and PSA has dropped from 12.1 at dx to 2.1 and my testosterone has dropped to 0.6. Is this within normal expectations? I haven’t met with my oncologist yet and don’t expect to for

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer in May 2019 and immediately started on ADT. The treatment seems to be working pretty well, as PSA and Testosterone have plummeted , 620 to 0.5 PSA and Below 3 Testosterone. My only noticeable bothersome side effect was Hot Flashes, but they subsided after

On turning

Finished radiation
45 treatments. IMRT. Not much in the way of side effects. Bit of an occasional mild burning sensation during urination. The hardest part was hitting the facility with a full bladder and an empty rectum at 11:00 am every day. I'll get PSA and testosterone test in a couple of weeks.

End of BAT; a few lessons
G’day comrades I have tried to report my experiences with Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT). You will find them in my profile. This will be the last as the anti androgen I use (bicalutamide) failed in spectacular fashion. I will post on subsequent treatments. The pattern of failure may interest. Hist:

HRT compounds and hair loss
The first hrt prescribed to me to treat hair loss, was norethisterone based. Unfortunately, it scarred my scalp. Norethisterone is an androgen based compound so if your scalp is sensitive to testosterone. It will not increase or cause your hair loss. So is helpful to know the compounds in hrt's available
