Hypo Cure

Lingual tonsils???
Just wondering has anyone had problems with their lingual tonsils and if so what was your experience with it? What symptoms did you have? How’d you get diagnosed? How long did it take you to get diagnosed? I’m still not 100% on what’s wrong with me but someone has told me that I could have a problem

Update: 25 months on transdermal estradiol (tE2) and counting.
Just received the results of my blood work drawn on 5/14/2020 and needless to say I am quite pleased. I am self medicating with E2 gel only and haven't seen a doctor since 7/2017. The ONLY side effect is gynecomastia (man boobs) which I don't perceive as a big deal. I apply an amount as pictured twice

Anyone taking Avodart (Dutasteride) as your only form of ADT?
Just curious as to whether any of you have been able to control your PSA after recurrence? Since dutasteride is an inhibitor of all three 5a-reductase isoforms, it appears to be an effective suppressor of DHT which is a considerably more potent androgen than the testosterone it is derived from. After

Bipolar Androgen Therapy in Prostate Cancer.
New review from Italy, below [1]. I can't readily access the review itself, but I liked that the authors explain the rationale for BAT more clearly than I may have done in the past: "New-generation hormone therapies improved overall survival in castration-resistant prostate cancer. More recent trials

Hypothyroidism & no period for 17months
Hi, I’m 27 and came off the contraceptive pill in December 2018 with the aim of trying for a baby in 2019 but since coming off the pill I’ve not had a period. I’ve had numerous chats with my GP over this time but I was consistently advised that I should give it more time and my period will come soon

Tele-health appointment with MO
I had my first tele-health appointment with my MO. It looks like my vacation from Lupron will continue for at least another 3 months. He would recommend getting back on Lupron if my PSA keeps rising after my Testosterone reaches normal level.

Ok to take a Lupron Vacation?
Hello all - I’ve read this site for about a year but this is my first post. I’m grateful for your collective wisdom and experience, and for your willingness to share both. Here’s my story: married dad of four in the Northeast. Diagnosed at 53, February 2019. Gleason 3+4, 11 of 12 biopsy cores cancerous

Castration resistance
Diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer at age 43. Went through chemotherapy with docetaxel for 6 cycles, radiation of mets to my cervical vertebrae, ADT with Lupron of course and even a radical prostatectomy (strange this was even offered and done with my stage). I started with a PSA of 54 and joined

Testosterone
I have meant to post something I learned a number of months ago, but I forgot to do so. On a visit to my Endocrinologist, who I only go to because almost ten years ago I decided I wanted Testosterone shots, he reviewed my three month blood work. Testosterone can cause problems with some men who take

Can Pregnenolone be effective via capsules/tablets?
Thinking of trying to increase testosterone in order to to have more energy. The testosterone creams for women are pricey, so was considering Pregnenolone cream, but then saw that it also came in capsules/tablets form and wondered if the body could assimilate it in that form?

Decision Matrix Conundrum
So I completed IMRT to my left hemi-pelvis with boost to 2 nodes there that lit up on Ga-PSMA scan last October. Used adjuvant ADT with degarelix plus estradiol patches. Approximately 5-6 months until T levels recovered. Post RT my PSA fell by about half (.25 to .15 and staying there for 3 months now

Folate consumption & ADT mortality.
A curious new study [1]. "We identified 56 men with prostate cancer {the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System} undergoing androgen deprivation in which folate levels had been determined. 15 out of 16 (94%) men initiating ADT had increases in their folate, which is substantially more than 67% in {the

This is a VERY interesting video to gentlemen of a certain age concerning enlarging of the prostate. Previous to watching this my take was a shrug of the shoulders in that it's 'something that comes to men with age. I'd gone as far as I could in researching the condition and came up against 'testosterone

Question on Clearblue ovulation test
Hi I bought clearblue tests which are supposed to track estradiol and LH and it says on the package to test after your longest sleep. So I have tested every morning. The estradiol rise was caught by the test (flashing smile) but 10 days later, the LH was not caught (non flashing smile). In parallel
