So I paid privately to see a Gastroenterologist. Recommends Endoscopy, and will do it on NHS. Request denied by hospital. My GP has to refer to the SAME consultant in a clinic, few months away, where the advice will be same. Tell me, how is this saving NHS money and resources? I am beyond

Some more advice please
I have an endoscopy coming up, so naturally asked my new Hematologist what I needed to do regards my LWMH injection. I currently take it at 6 pm. He has suggested that I change this to morning injection, take it as usual for an evening, then in the morning take it again, so two doses in 12 hours.

Hyperthyroidism but have no appetite and feeling tired and cold.I’m new here.
Hi, I do not have my blood test results to hand yet, but I know that I have hyperthyroidism and I am slightly anaemic. I saw a consultant a few years ago who prescribed carbimazole. I became really unwell and literally poured with sweat permanently. The consultant took me off and left me with a go to

Questions for the doctor
Hello all. My fiancé has his second appointment tomorrow since his diagnosis. He then has an endoscopy on Thursday. I’ve been trying to make a list of questions to ask the doctor but would like to ask for your help about what exactly to ask. Should I ask about a fibroscan? I really am at a loss about

Trouble swallowing solids.
I have lost the ability to swallow solid food, so only liquids and powder dissolved in liquids in my diet since the end of January. I am getting a barium swallowing assessment done in March and a endoscopy as well to see what is going on. But with everything my blood work keeps looking worse and worse

Why is this necessary?
Diagnosed GCA, on Pred , however Consultant has recommended an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. I do not have any symptoms and feel bad enough, so I declined?

Defeated.
Well guys, I’m at a loss of what to do next. My albumin, creantine, calcium, and potassium were all pretty low again for a little while and then went back to normal. The RUQ pain under my ribs has been persistent the last month even with me eating right and exercising almost daily. Saw my primary doctor

When it rains it pours.
Ok so I had bad luck and tripped over a pot hole before Christmas, necessitating ball joint replacement in left shoulder. Op postponed due to projectile vomit of copious coffee grounds blood. Emergency endoscopy drained 800 mls coffee ground blood from stomach. Op on shoulder Christmas day, discharged

Possibly Crohns?
My Son became ill a couple of years ago on holiday after being stung in the sea (could be coincidence). His symptoms were overwhelming nausea, fatigued, unable to eat much, drink only water and rapid weight loss. He had blood tests, Coeliac test (I am a Coeliac) also tests for parasites etc and endoscopy
