Hi everyone, I hope you are all coping with your RD. Apologies for this very l9ng post. My last post said that I had a really bad 2018 and 2019 seems to be going the same way. I had some stomach problems last July which started with an endoscopy and had polyps removed. I went on a short cruise the beginning of October and was taken ill. the medical team were brilliant and decided I had Gastritis. Two days after I came home I was admitted to hospital and after having a cat scan, ultrasound and another endoscopy I was diagnosed with several Linear Ulcers in my stomach. Ever since then I have struggled to eat a full meal with pain in my chest and really bad reflux. I had a Barium Swallow about 10 days ago and have now been diagnosed with Achalasia and Oesophageal Dismotility. Apparently these can be associated with RD. The next step is a PH Manometry test to confirm this.. All the time these test are going on I am not having any RD treatment other than steroids and paracetamol. Does anybody have these stomach problems.
ON & ON !!!: Hi everyone, I hope you are all coping... - NRAS
ON & ON !!!
You poor lady
Have you been taking painkillers for the Rheumatoid on an empty stomach ?
This can cause stomach problems .
Other than that I don’t know .
Have you asked your specialist or nurse ?
Must be awful xx
Thank you for your reply. No pills on an empty stomach. Have an appointment with Rheumy in a couple of weeks x
That sounds uncomfortable! Are you managing to get some nutrition, as you need to get a balanced diet into you to help you heal? Is liquid food possible? Hope you get a confirmed diagnosis soon so can get treatment.
I don't have this or anything like it . I just wanted you to know I care .💐🤗🤗
Hi Nessa thank you so much x
Sorry I'm no help but it amazes me how little I know about RD. I wish you well and hope they get you sorted soon
