Cancer cells returned in juncture of joining, after total gastrectomy.
Had difficulty swallowing, yet again, so endoscopy requested. They took biopsies and sadly turns out cancerous cells have been found. CT scan thankfully did not find anything so PET scan was done today. Now got to wait 4-5 days for those results. I am wondering if the cancerous cells could have been

A little worried (long post)
I want to write this post for a little piece of mind. I’ll try and summarise, maybe bullet point lots of details, as much as I can because this is a long story. I am 24 now. All of my life I have had “stomach problems” as I used to call them. They (as far as I can remember) began when I was in primary

NSIP diagnosis
I’m new here. My husband has been off sick for 18 mths, struggling for 3 years. Nothing could be found for his symptoms so they thought it was anxiety. After continual lung infections for 3 months he had CT and referral. CT report says ILD with NSIP most likely. Haven’t seen consultant again since seen

Stomach Exit Stretch
Went for an Endoscopy at the JR in Oxford yesterday as I'm getting a lot of hic-burping since my oesophagectomy last May. It turns out that my anatomically altered stomach isn't emptying as quickly as it should. Which apparently quite common (about 1 in 5) after an oesophagectomy. I have to go back to

Banded varices
Hello, my fiancé had his first endoscopy this morning and they banded 2 varices. They said there was some bleeding so his stool might be darker next time he goes. They prescribed him 40mg of Pantoprazole, twice a day for 2 months then once a day after that. My questions are, is 2 banded varices a bad

Fibroscan result
Hi. I stopped drinking almost 7 years ago after having a massive bleed. Since then I've had six monthly checks, scans, endoscopy etc however, a few days ago I had my first ever fibroscan and the result was a shock to me and the liver nurse. It was 36. The only medicine I take is propranolol 40mg 3 daily

Bloating and Gas?
Does anyone else have bloating and gas, especially when your breathing is bad? Inhalers only help a little. I’m on 3 of them. I was originally diagnosed with asthma and told cigarettes did not cause my problem. (I did not really believe this doctor, but got a second opinion where the second doctor had

Yo-yo symptoms
Hi all, I had an Endoscopy at the end of January and was told that I had excess Stomach Acid, which was travelling up my Esophasgus and causing Chest pains. I was given Omeprazole, which eased the symptoms for two weeks. They now no longer seem to work and I am in constant stomach pain (feels like trapped

Recently Diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis
Hi All, Unfortunately my father is diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis 3 weeks back. He is diabetic since last 17 years. He never really had alcohol. Recently during our small family vacation, his legs had swelling - which often appeared during travelling due to legs hanging but disappeared after a night

Functional Diarrhoea
Anyone here ever heard of (or experienced) Functional Diarrhoea! I have it myself. It has been recognised by the Rome IV Criteria as a FGD (Functional Gastrointestinal Disorder) like IBS. Blood transfusion with PV
As a precautionary measure before having an endoscopy I was asked if I was OK to have a blood transfusion. I presume having PV does not preclude me ?

So, any ideas about this quite strict diet?
I have candida in my osepheagus, showed up on my endoscopy last week. I had lots of abs end of last year, 6 weeks in total which i am sure is the culprit as i had it in my moutnbut the daktarin took it away from there. I am cutting out sugar, as much as i can, no chocolate, biscuits etc and no carbs.

Diet changes with Pernicious Anemia that led to mild gastritis???
Has anyone with PA had an endoscopy that showed mild or severe gastritis? I just had mine done and am finishing up a 7 day dose of carafate that I guess coates and will heal my stomach lining. My understanding is that the PA caused this inflammation so I am wondering if I should follow a low inflammation
