Some more advice please

I have an endoscopy coming up, so naturally asked my new Hematologist what I needed to do regards my LWMH injection. I currently take it at 6 pm. He has suggested that I change this to morning injection, take it as usual for an evening, then in the morning take it again, so two doses in 12 hours. On the day of the endoscopy do not take any, then revert back to evening dosing once procedure is done.

I am not doubting his advice, well I suppose I am asking here, but am bit anxious about taking two doses so close together. He suggested this protocol a week before my procedure, no date yet so not urgent. Thank you.

I've had to switch times several times and what your hematologist suggests sounds ok.

I would suggest you get this bridging plan in writing so you can show the endoscopy team what you've been advised and followed?

The only thing? - make sure you don't make the change too near the endoscopy, maybe a week or more before?

I'm assuming your Gastro is aware of your APS and that he can take all precautions? Last one I had done he did it first up when he was 'fresh' as he was aware of bleeding risk but I wasn't on LMWH at the time but Rivaroxaban so different approach.

Best of luck with that, you have been given some good feedback by HollyHeski and viewing your bridging plan and also talking it through would be a good idea, with the relevant doctor. Let us know how it goes. MaryF
