Anemia
I have had one iron infusion and am due for a second infusion this week. My doctor explained that he still needs to determine the cause of my anemia. He suggested I have a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy to rule out any bleeding. I had both tests performed October 2020 and nothing was found. My GI

Bowel prep for colonoscopy - long post. Sorry.
Hi. I thought I would kick off with the dreaded bowel preparation (clearing) required prior to having bowel examinations or surgery. There are a number of products (some branding names vary between USA and UK). So, this is my journey this year: Needed a colonoscooy as well as Upper GI Endoscopy so appointment

Can’t believe it!
Can anything else go wrong? I am going for Ivor Lewis on 9th June, meanwhile our GP rang to say my husband has a suspicious bowel sample result and has to go for a colonoscopy on the 3rd June and my son in law is having problems swallowing so is going for an endoscopy tomorrow. I haven’t told anyone

Please take a look, I'd really appreciate any help!! 💜
Hello everyone, I've been struggling with so much for years. I'll try to sum it up. It started with me loosing weight, about 75lbs within 6 months, unintentional of course. I've had a constant low level with my Rbc and vitamin D and hematocrit and absolute lymphs. Most current results from yesterday

Hernia got better - and then didn't...
I have bad bloating, major discomfort when working physically and permanent diarrhoea. I feel as though I have just eaten a large meal, even when stomach empty. Recently had 'top & tail' endoscopy which confirmed 3cm hiatus hernia (plus diverticulosis, inflammation blah blah). Recently the uncomfortable

Just an observation..
I have noticed since I’ve been on here all these different test. Fibroscan, Child P score? MELD? ELF? Etc, my consultant has never mentioned anything other than ultrasound and bloods every 6 months and Endoscopy once a year. Guess it’s just different consultants take different approaches.

Undiagnosed and positive ANA

I’ve had 3 failed Endoscopes, as I woke up from sedation grabbing the camera, so Gastro has never found out, why I choke when eating, barium swallow confirmed GERD, I have

Help needed in long term effects of RAI for Graves Disease, long term use of Levothyroxine and how I go about transitioning to NDT.
Hi all, To give a brief history - I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease in 2000. After 6 years on Propananol, Levothyroxine and Carbimazole, I had Radio Active Iodine in 2006 and have been on varying doses of Levothyroxine ever since. During my routine yearly blood test at the end of 2019 it was detected
