Diatomaceous Earth Interest

Thanks for all the info folks!...After all the terrible attacks and symptoms I was having, a query of Diatomaceous Earth and a self-diagnosis led me here:Tachycardia...pain..debilitating autonomic dysreflexia..months of holter, mcot patch readings, endoscopy, more ed visits than I can remember etc...It was causing massive bp jumps and syncopes plus a qt prolongation...I had stool tested for h. pylori. My endoscopy showed red striations and thickening of the esophagus but no hiatal. I had a ct w contrast on a peticular bad day and a sliding hiatal showed up...I could feel it moving into my thoracic cavity but my specialists have tried to investigate every other possible issue...I have had a strong iron/copper taste and BM odor for 6 months now..Was on Protonix -PPI that did nothing..I have gotten distension relief by keto/low fodmap and eating small amounts of food..Most of the time I can only tolerate bonebroth...I am sure I have SIBO, probably for decades. Gut health is the root of our immune system and I now understand this. Currently I am trying Oil of Oregano, Cistus Incanus /rockrose/ Tea as well as Ganoderma Lingzhi /redreishi/ Extract, and a few other things like NAC, Milk Thistle for liver health...These attacks mimic an AMI...I am going to try Diatomaceous Earth today..Thanks for everyone's input here and good luck..... Ed

Not something I would try - I’ll stick to my cultured kefir, kumboocha & sauerkraut- although it was Kimchi tonight. You really need to know which colonies of ‘bad’ flora you have and what will kill them. Tannin & Garlic are good for cleansing overgrowth of much the bad stuff.

If you do any sort of serious gut cleansing do be aware of the Hertzheimer Reaction - I’ve experienced it 3 times now, after antibiotics, after HBOT and after gut cleansing - it can make you quite ill but rarely lasts for more than 12-48 hours.

Are you planning on ingesting Diatomaceous Earth? It's a gardening substance, made of crushed coral, and I use it around the perimeter of my house to keep out centipedes.

There is a food grade diatamaceous earth.

I hope I didn't sound snobby. I didn't mean to. I hate it when I sound that way. 😣 There is an edible diatamaceous earth. It kills parasites. Farmers feed it to their livestock and I give it to my cats. I tasted it. No taste. I also buy a flea powder made from diatamaceous earth. It has lemongrass and neem and rosemary in it too. I use it for my cats also and you can sprinkle it in their bedding and around the house to kill fleas and other insects. It works by basically drying the bugs up once they ingest it. Safer than the prescription flea killers. I'm in the states and buy it from a farm family who developed it for their farm animals and pets. It works a little slower but it works. Take care and be safe. I'm praying someday we can all get well and get this pandemic over and be some sort of normal again.

Not at all, belindalore, you weren't snobbish at all! I appreciate the info about the product, as I didn't know it came in the different forms that you mentioned. I'm also in the States, by the way. Stay well, and thanks for responding!
