Endoscopy

Hi all

Been having alot of gastro issues..for a month plus..spoke with GP and have been referred for endoscopy..I go in today and am scared! Never had anything like his done before

You'll be fine lufi.ive had digestive issues for a few years which now appear to be connected to lactose but that's another story for another day.i had an endoscopy many years ago.equipment has most probably changed in that time .it wasnt pleasant but not too bad either.try to relax and it will all be over before you know it .best wishes big hug xx

It’s ok to be scared, fear gets us through stuff like this. It won’t be as bad a you think honestly - deep breathing techniques help calm nerves x

Unfortunately we all have to go through tests in order to establish what's going on with our whacky bodies.Try to keep that in mind..you're having this done in order to get more of an idea what's happening..this is what we warriors have to do..this is what makes us warriors!!

I had one last year and it was totally fine. I took the sedation they offered, had a nice snooze, and when I woke up it was all over. Hope it goes well for you too today.

I am so glad I shared it here as you all lovely people have really made me reassured..Will post later or tomorrow how it went..

And I am more leaning towards sedation..
