Left sided abdominal tightness/discomfort
For over a week I have had a sensation of tightness under my ribs, slightly left of centre. This became very painful accompanied by nausea at the weekend. Went to hospital. Observations normal. Bloods all reassuringly normal. Urine test normal. Nothing palpable. Was sent home and advised to take analgesia

Wondering if anyone here has experience with an Endoscopic Liver Biopsy to check on PBC /AIH staging?
Anyone here had a liver biopsy done via and EUS / Endoscopy? Back in 2013, I had a traditional liver biopsy and apparently this is a new technique for performing more procedures at once using needle aspiration guided by ultrasound. I am curious what the recovery time is versus the older method. Also,

Post transplant severe gastric reflux
I am 3 months post transplant. Prior to having my transplant I always had a minor problem with gastric reflux but now its out of control. I'm taking 40 mg of prilosec twice a day but it does very little. I cough a large volume of stomach acid throughout the day. Night time is even worse. It leaves

With antibiotics, she responded well to varoius bacterial infections Towards end of this time she had a tracky and when well enough was

Portal hypertension
Hi, I’m new. 5 years ago I developed sepsis due to infected gallbladder. I had developed clots in my portal, mesenteric and splenic veins. Saw vascular specialist and put on blood thinners for 2 months. 6 months after sepsis got my gallbladder removed. During surgery varix was cut and I required a plasma

Heart burn after varices banded
Hi I’m fairly new on here and just wanted some feed back on anyone who has Varices and had them banded . I only found out last week that I now have varices and have had them banded, one was very large. It’s a week tomorrow and I’m still struggling with eating as it’s so painful going down I just wondered

Really struggling
Hi all I'm 22 and have been suffering with ibs like symptoms for a year. Been referred to a gastroenterologist have had an endoscopy which came back fine. Due for a colonoscopy but there is a huge wait. I just cant stop googling things and reading stories on bowel cancer and how signs are so similar

MRI scan
Hi everyone. Quick recap. Diagnosed with hep c last year. Now clear following treatment. Had endoscopy, ultrasound last week. They have now requested I go for MRI scan on Friday. Is this normal? Nobody has explained why I’m having all these tests. If it’s just routine that’s fine but now I’m worried

Should I push for a colonoscopy sooner?
I have always had severe constipation, and aways told I have IBS-C. Eventually it got so bad no matter what I ate or drank, I resorted to taking laxatives way too frequently. Stool softeners alone didn’t help. I’ve already had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done few years ago and they said there was irritation

NASH - how long before early cirrhosis becomes stage 4?
How long before cirrhosis goes from early stage to end stage? I don’t fit the mold for this, however, a recent fibroscan showed stage F4 and 4 random liver biopsies confirmed cirrhosis. However my endoscopy was clear. I have dropped 24 pounds in 3 months with keto(low carb) and don’t have much more

Portal Hypertension at F2
Almost three years ago I was diagnosed with NASH and Stage 3 Fibrosis. The only comorbidity I had at diagnosis is that I was moderately overweight. Through Diet and exercise I was able to see a reduction in my test results to an F2. I signed up for a drug trial that I completed last year and have

Lpr- anyone done a peptest
I have had ongoing burning throat on my right side for a year. It initially started out as a infection but this has cleared and I'm left with burning continuously in the day. No problems at night . I had a MRI clear and throat endoscopy though the guy who did it said all was normal and I had strep throat

I'm new - Chronic Pancreatitis - Help and trying to get a diagnosis.
My father has been suffering with chronic pain (about year!) & we suspect chronic pancreatitis - hopefully not a cancer diagnosis - but how long does diagnosis take? His symptoms have been stomach bloating, abdomen & stomach pain radiating to his back, that worsens as the day goes on, reduced appetite
