Endoscopy failed due to solid food.

I have had two endoscopic in the past five weeks Both failed due to solid food.push into Osophagus. Swallowing.had been the problem and food coming back up. I had Ivor Lewis five years ago due same problem.However then there has been an issue in food . getting down into stomach .

2biopsies were taken from middle oesophagus to be sent to pathology.

Diagnosis Inflamed/polyphonic anastosis. I have the endoscopic without sedation as my wife has Alzheimer's and I need to care for.her. I am worried as it was problems in swallowing food that led to stage3 cancer diagnosis. I am 81 and was 76 when operated on. Any one had a problem like food being solid. I am grateful for the past five years hope there is a solution to this matter. Sidesaddle.

I had a total gastrectomy 9 years ago due to stomach cancer and have suffered with swallowing both food and liquids over that period and still have issues bringing food back up plus pain when eat. Because I have had my stomach removed food goes straight into the intestines and seems I have always had pain where they pulled the intestine up to join the oesophagus. I havent had any endospcopies for a couple of years but did have a few prior to that when I was under the hospital that showed the oesophagus was inflammed and my issues were always put down to this but if anything it is getting worse and I regurgitate food every day when eat. It does get you down and will be interested to read anyone else responses to this problem as dont know where I go from here. I am 83 this year and in the same boat as you wondering about a solution.
