Endoscopy with FND
I have to have an endoscopy done because of nausea and cramps. I don’t handle drugs well (I get numbness, heartbeat becomes irregular and something like a panic attack) and they are suppose to give me a sedative. What did u guys experienced having an endoscopy with FND. Thanks in advance for sharing.

New Here
Hi all - I'm new here and also very early on in my thyroid journey. I first got tested a couple of years ago because I was super tired and showed up as borderline. My doctors were reluctant to put me on medication and said they'd retest every six months and see how things went. I went along with it for

Hi there - What might this be? I've had this kind of mark on my abdomen for many years (since I used to live in West Africa) but recently it looks to be getting more pronounced or "longer" across my abdomen (horizontal). After I shower or work out, it seems like the vein-aspect goes away and its just

Reflux/Heartburn hell.

Are Gastric Ulcers permanent? Are they linked to Cirrhosis?
My husbands recent endoscopy and biopsies have shown he still has gastric ulcers and recommends PPI for 8 weeks. He has been on PPI for at least a year. I'm worried that the transplant team he is under might doubt that he is abstinent from alcohol when they see this, hence my question about it being

IBS and other gastro problems
Hi, I’m new here! I have had IBS all my life (I’m 46 just now). Also have reflux. But last September my IBS has randomly got worse and I’ve developed more upper GI problems and Burning Mouth Syndrome. I had (yet another) endoscopy in April and the only thing that’s there is very mild, chronic oesophagitis

Gallbladder removal
Hi folks. Just wondering if anyone on here has had their gallbladder removed? I have had IBS for years and years and flit between IBS-D and IBS-C. I’ve had several colonoscopy tests and always get the “all clear” for anything sinister. This year I’ve had upper GI issues, which I haven’t really had before

Painkillers
Have had a very rough time over the last week or so, very bad bleed- lost 1.5-2litres! (unnecessary as I had had an Endoscopy two days before when they failed to band some varices) then a completely unexplained seizure whilst on the ward recovering from bleeding and banding. I fell very awkwardly when

Abdominal pain with gas, bloating and foul body odor
I have all the ibs symptoms and this is not from the food and flares up when I am under stress. It doesn't matter what food I take, although I am very careful what I eat. Along with that, I have slight rectal pain possibly because of constant passing of gas . Body odor is very strong (leaky gas) and

All scans have come back clear!?
I'm currently having upper right quadrant pain when I bend over and slouch. I've had a ct scan with contrast. Had an ultra sound and Mri. Blood tests fine too. Also colonoscopy and laroscopy. I'm currently seeing a gastroenterologist privately as I'm not getting to the bottom of the pain. Dr has referred

Early morning thoughts and worries
Was fine all day, went fishing off the pier and as it got chilly my Raynauds started acting up and short periods of vertigo. I was frustrated with A and let her constant arguing get me worked up. After a hard talk i went upstairs and started to get chills and my whole body is achy, limbs in fire and

When will it end?
Is this pandemic ever going to end? I'm due for an ultrasound this coming Wednesday. I may have a bile duct stone. Can't do the ultrasound in a hospital. They are all full with covid patients. And I'm in Florida. Hot spot for covid right now. I will get the ultrasound at an imaging facility. But to actually

New here and very anxious!
Hi, my name is Saba, I’m 39 and have been diagnosed with celiac disease just a week ago. I’m very hypochondriac person and get my check ups every 6 months. In February I’ve noticed that my ferritin level dropped a lot, I thought maybe it was cause by diet I was on to lose weight. Then in my July’s check

Best news
I had my endoscopy yesterday to look at what the consultant thought might be a stomach tumour……dr that did the test was 99% sure that it wasn’t…. They took a couple of biopsies and I do have to have another scan of my pancreas and lymph nodes but she was very positive. Just after I got home I received

Update on update!
After 2 endoscopies and 1 CT scan, nothing to be found, thank the lord, but I have now been booked in for a stretch, not had one before, I know many of you have and some several, but I am terrified, I'm having general anesthetic, does anyone know why it's general and not sedation?. Also what happens
