Alternative to Aspirin
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with mild atherosclerosis two years OK. No HA or surgical intervention - and started on statin and aspirin. Already on ramapril for high BP. Type 2 diabetic but since losing a lot of weight have maintained normal blood sugar levels without medication for over a year now.

My stiffness....
At my endoscopy last week,my consultant said the reason I got the ascites (once) was because of the stiffness in my liver (I understand that’s the scarring). He wasn’t really around much for me to ask him to expand on that and I try and stay away from google(🥴). So I only had the ascites once and

Perhaps some encouragement for newbie PMR sufferers.
Brief history; diagnosed with PMR in Feb 21. Prescribed 15mg Prednisolone but that didn't work at all. Went up to 25mg and blessed relief from the pain. Stayed at this level for quite a while then slooooowly reduced to where I am today at 11mg and, fortunately, no pain and no flares along the way and

Hi all, my husband was diagnosed with colitis around 10 years ago, after a period of treatment etc he was considered to be in remission and discharged from the team at the hospital. I would say this was around 5 years ago now. Last year, he fell over damaging his knee which became inflamed. After taking

Anyone experience Bile as a caustic?
I’ve been fighting for answers for 4 1/2 years. Nothing really makes sense. For some reason I have copious amounts of bile. An endoscopy in late 2017 found severe reactive gastropathy. I ended the turmeric supplement. It was believe that the PPI and turmeric supplement created a toxic reaction. Now

Are folks still getting their “routine” 6 monthly monitoring blood tests and US scans?
My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2019 - initially decompensated but he thankfully became compensated pretty quickly. Up till now, and throughout the worst of Covid, he was getting his routine blood tests and US scans plus a follow up with his consultant but his November tests have not been

Is there anyone can help with the following. My wife and I have both had oesophageal cancer, we have both had IV ops. Breathlessness - is it heartburn?
After suffering a heart attack 18 months ago I generally am feeling good. I am back at the gym and running has got easier and I have lost some weight. Have changed to a vegan diet as well for 6 months. My issue now has been if I am inactive for a couple of days, or the day after I have any alcohol

Hello, I was diagnosed with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) earlier this year. I am taking ursodeoxycholic acid and all seems to be under control for now. I had pancreatitis in February this year and had a follow up scan in October. The scan showed an increase in my pancreatic duct. I had an ultrasound

I have had an MRI and also expect to be referred for a TOE endoscopy. Anyone have any ideas of how long this appointment takes to come through?
