Esophagus problems
Hello from Florida, U.S. I have had this condition for years. Also hospitalized with what they thought was heart attack. My problem comes from eating anything dry and swallowing big pills like calcium. Millions of tests by gastroenterologist. One of my problems I have been told is from swallowing

Hi everyone, Apologies if this is a bit of a long one. I (26 F) posted a little while ago about my mum (57) who was beginning to be really ill with cirrhosis. I didn't know what to expect and I was hugely touched by the honest and kind replies I got. They were incredibly helpful. So, now that things

Desperate for some help please. I have Barrett’s Oesophagus and had this for many years. Last year I started getting central chest pain and had a CT scan which nothing significant was found. I have kept driving my GP mad with this pain which now radiates to my back. Sometimes also a pain in the left

Nervous about my upcoming 12 month review
It’s a year since my diagnosis of cirrhosis. I was very sick at the time. I had a deep rooted infection and was in hospital. I was very weak and showing a lot of symptoms. It was a surprise to me that my liver was so damaged as I hadn’t really felt that unwell until the infection hit. Looking back there

IBD
I have been suffering from peptic ulcer for a long time. I underwent endoscopy and colonoscopy 4 months ago and on endoscopy I was diagnosed with ulcer and hernia. The colonoscopy report was normal. I am continuing ulcer medicine. But for a while, a pinch of pain was felt on or near the side of my navel

Testing for PA
Has anyone had all the bloodwork (IFA, parietal cell, MMA, homocysteine) and endoscopy & colonoscopy (including biopsies) that all came back fine yet still have B12 deficiency or PA? Is it possible to still have PA without having any definitive test results. Endoscopy and colonoscopy did not turn up

Follow up appointment worries
Hi, I had endoscopy done around 7 weeks ago, they banded two haemorrhoids and removed a polyp. They said they would send the polyp off for testing. I was told that I would likely get a telephone follow up appointment. My doctors informed me that I needed to call the hospital to arrange a telephone appointment

No. Go Endoscopy
No go Endoscopy! Hi BKart, Very good to hear from you before I went for the endoscopy yesterday. After several hours in the hospital ( they insisted on a COVID test first) They were unable to sedate me, because they couldn’t find a vein to accommodate a cannula! I had read the booklet sent to me before
