Continually Burping

Hi , I am new to this site. I started suffering from frequent burping 4 months ago. My GP said he thought it was acid reflux caused by anxiety. I have been suffering anxiety and depression and am on medication for both. He prescribed omaprazole in Dec but it's got worse and worse and some days I burp continuously for hours. I don't experience any burning sensation just gas. Have had an endoscopy which revealed a small hiatus hernia but nothing else. I am finding it difficult to know what to eat that wont give me a problem. Is the anyone else that experiences constant trapped gas and burping?

Anxiety and worrying can indeed cause acid reflux.Try to relax.

I would go back to GP if this continues. Definitely check out your symptoms on NHS site as there are other causes to rule out.
