Traveling on a plane with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension
Hi I’m new to all this. My partner was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis back in may 2022 and spent 7 weeks in hospital. In February this year he was taken into intensive care with a GI bleed and needed blood transfusions and was told he had portal hypertension. He had a follow up endoscopy 4 weeks later

Breathless, constricted chest feeling
As some of you know I had a pulmonary embolism in January and recovered well except for dreadful reflux. I have had this problem for years but managed with careful diet and 10mg omeprazole daily. My 3 month check with specialist was fine. Jumping to now I started feeling breathless when first wakening

Any body having problems with Pantoprazole?
15 weeks post ivor lewis. Had to have an endoscopy last Friday because I have the feeling something always stuck at the back of my throat. Nothing found but the surgeon did proscribe me pantoprazole twice a day for a month 40mg per tablet. During the past week I feel like I have been hit by a bus! Even

Locate a BSGE accredited endometriosis centre
Across the UK, there are several accredited endometriosis centres provided by The British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE). These centres offer complex surgery for those with severe (later stages) endometriosis; defined as deep infiltrating endometriosis or recto-vaginal endometriosis. https

How often should varices be checked?
My husband had three separate episodes of variceal bleeds in the fall of 2020. Esophageal and gastric varices which were either banded or glued. Sent home and no follow up, nothing. Now 18 months later he was back in hospital with another gastric bleed. It took four endoscopies to finally locate and

B12 injections
I am new to this sight and very thankful to have found it! I have been recently diagnosed with pernicious anemia and am suffering from incredibly bad GI issues because of it. I take my injections once monthly. After my injection my GI issues get better for about two weeks and then get worse again.

Hi I had an AF episode a week ago and then went into fast Sinus with a heart beat of 140. 6 days later I went into Kings for a routine endoscopy for my 3 yearly verecies check for my liver cirrhosis. My heart was still tackicardic. First they could not get the camera down my throat due to severe swallowing

I did and they found a mass on my liver. Doc asked me to go for a CT scan with IV contrast of the abdominal. The results came
