Sorry to post my results again but having anxiety I am a little concerned. Following on from my post yesterday. My GP suddenly after a year of dismissing my chronic fatigue and huge energy crashes, I am almost housebound and I am anxious and agoraphobic since being ill this last year, suddenly he wants to run a ruck of tests if I don't feel less fatigued on 75mg. He wants

COPD v Diabetes T2
I have been having trouble clearing congestion from my chest using antibiotics and steroids to clear an infection. I've received a lot of help from the good people here and by doing a lot of huffing & puffing. I have also been a type 2 diabetic from many years keeping things in check solely by watching

Fruit consumption
I have been trying to lose some weight by going on to a sugar free diet, I have been so disappointed as I am still gaining weight . I thought I had avoided carbs also, but, in my ignorance had been eating loads of fruit. I hadn't realised until today that it contained so many carbs and calories in the

Hypothalamic effects of thyroid hormone
Often looks like thyroid hormone "controls metabolism" - as if all it does is turn the wick up or down a bit. A few papers now talk about affecting gene expression, usually quite abstractly. My belief is that we will only really see thyroid hormone issues taken seriously when we know what effects thyroid

Type 2 Diabetes & Hashis
I have been posting a lot this week, but wanted to share this. I have been treated for Type 2 Diabetes for about 4 years, with Metformin. I was originally on two doses of 500mg a day (1,000mg), which my Dr increased to 2000mg a day last year. I found out this week that my B12 is insufficient and that

Diabetes and wine
I abstained for a week and had disappointing glucose levels. Then I had two glasses of Malbec with my supper, and the following morning recorded 6.2, my lowest blood test for awhile. Is there a link between the alcohol and the low reading?
