Hi, I've been lurking for a few days on here trying to get information as I have hypothyroid symptoms. I've found the site incredibly helpful already in trying to understand what is going on with me - now 52 and been to Docs over last 18months for various complaints which started with low libido. Thought

What blood tests should you get at Dx?
What blood tests should your oncologist consider at Dx or later? (Or what will be the standard of care in 5 years?) Testosterone and PSA Calcium and D level PSAP LDH CTC count (genomic testing, for helping with active surveillance decision) glucose and cholesterol I think all of these would be ideal

Struggling to accept
Sorry to post again. I appreciated all the advice before Christmas, it helped me so very much and got me through Christmas and the family advice I took on board. I felt poorly over Christmas but I still managed to enjoy it, all the stress had worn me down and I felt drained. I decided to go back to therapy

Hello everyone, me and I my friends have compiled some research, that can help you become healthy. The last part about healthy food stores is focused around the area we live in (Ostrava, Czech Republic) however, the rest should be universal. I hope you find this helpful. What does it mean to be healthy

BRONCHIAL ASTHMA DUE TO SENSITIVITY TO GUM ACACIA

Vinegar and Diabetes, Do's and Don'ts
The limited available research suggests that vinegar taken before a meal may lower blood glucose from 20% to 33%.[10,12] The response may depend on the type of glucose load—that is, a more pronounced response with a high-glycemic vs low-glycemic meal or glucose-containing beverage.[11,14] Large amounts

New study below [1]. In 1998, Walsh, et al (Johns Hopkins), published: "Influence of radical prostatectomy on serum hormone levels." [2] Basically, RP caused testosterone [T] to rise - therefore the cancer had caused T to fall. This ties into my recent posts on low T in PCa cases - specifically the

Hormones playing role in balancing blood sugar levels
Scientists have discovered that people with diabetes not only make too little insulin for their bodies’ needs, but there are also other hormones they help balance blood sugar. Some of these hormones are glucagon, amylin, and GLP-1. Glucagon is a hormone produced by the alpha cells in the pancreas. It

Glucotoxicity and Lipotoxicity: Reasons for Use of Insulin in Type 2 Patients
IR (Insulin Resistance) is more due to excess body fat, glucotoxicity and lipotoxicity. Weight control and good blood glucose control does reduce IR fairly rapidly. Glucotoxicity refers to the structural and functional damage in the beta cells and target tissues of insulin, caused by chronic hyperglycemia
