My harrowing patient journey
Greetings all I’m new here. This is the first time I have been admitted to hospital, more harrowing as this was a traumatic experience and not due to an illness or self-induced. I went in for a rigid cystoscopy under general anaesthesia as a day case on Wednesday 25/10/17. This was part of a work-up

Is it bad to opt for Insulin at early stage low intensity diabetes?
I met a 70 year old diabetic whose facial skin is a healthy 50! He gorges on sugary drinks and foods rich in carbohydrates. He took to Insulin shots at first indication of rising glucose levels about twenty years ago. He is full of cheer and energy.

PCa Aggressiveness and Glycemic Levels at Surgery.
New study from Brazil. "Both Gleason score and primary Gleason grade were lower in hyperglycemic patients with prostate cancer than in normoglycemic patients, suggesting a "protective action" of hyperglycemic states." Obviously, this is a blow to those who contine to believe that sugar feeds PCa, but

Help interpreting OGTT results
Hi everyone, I'm new here so apologies if this is not the right place to ask this. I recently took a 2-hour OGTT and was a bit confused by one of the results. While both my blood glucose and insulin levels were in range, there was a note next to my glucose results: "Please note that the 1 hour value

EXERCISE IS NOT A LUXURY
The vast majority of people in today's urban-centric environment are constantly stressed for time. When not working, they look for 'down-time' by watching TV. The term 'down-time' implies a period when a person can relax both physically and mentally so they can 're-energize'. The truth though is that
