A fat is the cause of type 2 diabetes
What if there’s enough insulin, but the insulin doesn’t work? The key is there, but something’s gummed up the lock. This is insulin resistance. Our muscle cells become resistant to the effect of insulin. What’s gumming up the locks on our muscle cells? What’s preventing insulin from letting glucose in

Please help, I'm digging my skin 🙁
Hello. I am new on here. I was diagnosed with Lupus along with copd and osteoarthritis. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has ever had a itching rash, that can't be eased by itching it. It feels like ants under my skin. My rumatoligst said it was a reaction of the sun. Dr put me on a steroid

LCHF Diet
One of my doctors had advised the below. I am confused. Low Carb High Fat diet is not recommended for Diabetics. Our body needs continuous energy which can be easily available only from carbohydrates. A high fat diet in the long run can raise ketones levels in the blood and cause Keto Acidosis in

after weaning off prescription drugs for adrenal fatigue
I have been wondering a lot about adrenal fatigue lately. Being the patient of a Hertoghe doctor, I told myself for a long time that I could not do better, and that I had to do whatever the doctor told me to. However, lately, I have come to question some of those things. It seems that most if not all

Dirty Foreskin ?
Not sure what is relevant , so here goes. I am 50, married with children. Sexually active with my wife. I am uncircumsised with a tight foreskin, always has been with no problems. A couple of months ago I started getting what I can only describe as a ring of dirt around the tip of my Penis/foreskin.

Warning? LCHF leads to further disease particularly Heart problems says Scientist. What is the real-life truth?
I am new here but realise there are some outstanding, wonderfully kind people here, my friend has just started the LCHF diet and got sent a video arguing the other way and is now confused. What is your experience?

Early afternoon cortisol 126 nmols - Too low??
My endo has suggested putting me on a small amount of hydrocortisone because he said my cortisol is a bit low. I already have Secondary hypothyroidism. Might this be the start of secondary adrenal insufficiency? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks as usual.

THE LAST LEG OF THE JOURNEY: Hospice Care
I had made an appointment on August 25 to see about hospice care at home. I didn't intend at that time to start hospice, but I was convinced by the admitting nurse to begin immediately. My medonc (medical oncologist) had suggested stopping the Xtandi and remaining on palliative care,

Be careful - is adrenal exhaustion your real issue?
Today a private endocrinologist saved my life. 6weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with abdominal pain - suspected cyst torsion. I complained of cloudy urine and terrible smell and was told tests are all clear and no infection!!! I was given antibiotics and sent home. Just after this I had fertility

Adrenal questions
Help on lab results. I have finally gotten my thyroid under control but I'm still having some ackward symptoms. Due to adrenals I'm sure. My saliva test confirms that I have low cortisol and my temps are still marginally low. My labs are as follows. Morning 5.4 range .9 to 9.5 Noon .73 range .6
