Help! Does anyone have information about Taste Alteration?
I am on Taxotere - 3 weeks on, 1 off. I just finished my second round of three infusions last week. About 4 days ago I started having serious mouth issues. I am familiar with mouth sores and sensitivity and even slight changes in taste, but this is on a whole different level. I can't taste food anymore

Inulin - may help sleep and constipation
My daughter recently bought me some inulin to try as she had heard it can help you sleep. I can't honestly say it helped me sleep at the time, but a side effect is that it is helpful with bowel movements!! More recently I took some on holiday with me - for my bowels, and this time I do think it helped

I recently got tested and then treated for chlamydia and course is finished etc. The past couple of days I’ve had an itchy anus and I read someone else posted about it and had been tested and had got chlamydia. Avodart when off ADT a mistake?
If one is trying to prevent prostate cancer cells from becoming insensitive to ADT, then is it wise to continue dutasteride while on the off cycle? If per Snuffy most of the support for PC cells comes from DHT not T, then just as stopping T reduces the DHT, is not dutasteride acting in a similar way

Aortic Valve Replacement - The Call Up

Cause of metallic taste?
I'm on 50mg Prednisolone daily and wonder if that's the cause of a permanent metallic taste in my mouth. Does anyone else have this problem? I find my sense of taste has been really affected.

In focus: managing the effects of chemotherapy - mouth care
If you can go for a
dental
checkup before starting
treatment
, it’s helpful to do this and have any necessary treatment done. Daily gentle brushing, mouthwash and flossing can help to keep the mouth clean and free of infection.
