Is anyone else being bothered by cold sores,??i have sll on watch and wait and have cold sores all if a sudden dang

Ask your Dr. for a prescription. Acyclovir will help to keep them at bay---will lessen the swelling/and length of time if taken asap.

I have had sores in the corners of my mouth and inside for months, taking Valtrex 500 mg every day prophylactically.

Yes, I have a perpetual cold sour and have had it for more years then I really know. It has had two biopsies and both times it was declared a cold sore. I has scarred and isn't always active but whenever I think it is wanting to erupt I am to take Valacyclovir 1 gm 1 a day for 5 days.
