I appreciate this may be trivial in the face of other posts on here but I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have. I take statins & Clopidogrel following a slight stroke 10 years ago. My dentists have advised I should keep taking both ahead of having 2 teeth out. They will apply stitches at the removal

Does anyone out there have experience of dental treatment and how it works under circumstances like this? Thank you 😊

I was unaware that this treatment comprises certain dental treatments, I know of extractions but uncertain if it applies to anything else. My problem is that I have a disintegrating tooth which has been patched but which the dentist said she can't do it again.

I did see a lady on youtube whose son needed a lung transplant for GPA and he flared up after having dental treatment and he was on a ventilator and she though the dental treatment caused the GPA flare. Any advice would be appreciated.

I did think pausing the clopidogrel as I would for dental treatment/minor surgery would suffice?

Hello all. I have to have a back molar extracted tomorrow and apparently there is a non-emerged wisdom tooth underneath. I don't know if the dentist plans to remove the wisdom tooth or not. I think the molar will come out fairy easily (touch wood). Do you think I need to increase pred today? I am just

I am currently tapering 6mg predisolone and taking 17 1/2mg Methotrexate . All is well and no problems. I am due to have a dental crown fitted. The dentist says it’s OK as he won’t be exposing the gum area where infection is possible. So I’m checking with you wonderful people that I can still take

Had dental treatment 2 weeks ago and can't tolerate hot or cold due to my teeth suddenly very sensitive. I don't suspect GCA, my teeth often respond like this to dental treatment.

Just has some dental treatment this week and thought I was doing okay after it but now feeling the effects. Why does dental treatment do that? I made sure to ensure I didn't have adrenal in local aneasthetic, checked I wasn't sensitive to the ingredients in the filling. Ah well.
