Ok so since graduating I've been suffering really painful calf pain after my runs.. inside and back of my right calf going down to my ankle. I'm only running 30/33 mins a time and covering 5k to 5.5k.. I get no pain when running just when I've finished.. tonight it was so bad I had to limp home..

Would following a gluten free diet for 10 years have an effect on the thyroid peroxidase test?
Hi - having had hypothyroidism for 15 years I actually asked my GP for thyroid antibody blood tests as this had never been done - he was only prepared to do the thyroid peroxidase test which came back as 46iu/ml (0.00 - 60iu/ml). As I have been following a gluten free diet for circa 10 years I wonder

I am sat here in an airport lounge, trying my best to be good. On the all day breakfast menu is egg soldiers 😱👏🏾👀 As a fellow Hashi sufferer with wheat and lactose intolerances this is a hard decision to make. I had free from bread in my hand luggage but my flight is delayed so I checked that bag

Cognition tests for DBS
Asking those of you who have had DBS or who are current candidates: what kind of cognition tests were you given and how well (or badly) did you do on them? Did any of you have a negative evaluation and then another more positive one?

DBS feedback
I am being evaluated for DBS. I know most of the benefits and risks and am finding that I seem to only hear about the success stories. Of course it's natural that people with a negative experience would be underreported for obvious reasons. I am asking for feedback from all who have had DBS; the good

Sleep method for DBS surgery
It's been quite awhile since I posted anything. I've had Parkinson's for over six years. My biggest issue is freezing, slowness, and stiffness. I live in Denver and am considering DBS and am curious if any one has under the asleep version of the surgery and what your experience has been.

Gluten free, or not so free
Hi just needing a bit of a rant. My attempts to stay well with Hashimotos by keeping to a gluten free diet are endlessly frustrating. I source buckwheat grots from an extremely expensive wholefood shop only to read 'may contain traces of gluten'. I stare longingly at porridge oats on the supermarket

Private Endocrinologist in Edinburgh?
Hi. Quick update. Went to my GP with results of my private medicheck thyroid tests today (test results and ranges at bottom of post). My GP basically said that it could be that my thyroid is on its way to becoming hypo but he would not give me medication as it could put me the other way and to wait

After having to take a week off due to knee killing me, I am back on the trail and loving it again. Took lots of precautions this time, deep heat gel, knee support, massage stick to help with warmup. (Doctor gave me the all clear to go) .The run was good felt my knee complain a little but was fine. Returned

sharing my 2 cents...
I've had PD for 3 yrs diagnosed, maybe 5 all toll. I'll be 70 in Nov, and my toes curl all the time on my rt effected side for many reasons. Med on and off, going in or wearing off. If I stuck to the proper schedule all would be fine.I take250/100 Sinimet 4 times a day, and 2 250 selegiline a day. Asiltec

Since I have been on Gluten free diet I have been feeling a lot better as the months have progressed. I have now developed a very dry mouth especially through the night and need to drink fluids a lot more. Has anybody else had this experience ? I have had a blood test for thyroid and I am borderline

Hello! This is my first post on the board. I was hoping someone could kindly help me interpret my blood results and give me some advice. I am a 30 year old female and had an early miscarriage earlier this year and asked the GP for blood work to establish cause. My blood results came back as follows;
