Post-concussion syndrome
I was on my road bike (
cycling
) on October when hit by a car. I was doing 28mph and the car at least that. I dislocated my finger and thumb, the latter digit needing an operation to hold it in place.

Trying to up my distance
I do a bit of
cycling
on my other days to keep the fitness up. Ive decided to try and up the distance. My aim would be to try someday get to maybe (here's hoping) half marathon distance. So last week I ran 12k and today I went out and got to 14k in 1:20:33.

In the words of Celine Dion...
you'll be pleased to know I finally made it to the doctor today. https://healthunlocked.com/bridgeto10k/posts/142144179/heart-attack So after my chest pain on the Thursday evening run, it's never actually happened again despite my efforts to raise my heart rate and push myself hard both running and

I'm still hitting the gym twice a week for strength work, and
cycling
once a weekend. Did a little bit of swimming and want this to increase as I get more comfortable with it again. I am now one run away from joining the Cowell club.

Don't want to spiral anymore
I am so worn out of trying to fight this and
cycling
. I know I am not alone, I try to say positive things to myself, believe in myself, know I will feel better. But I feel so lost and don't want to go on. In the depressed state, it is so hard to do the things we know will make us feel better.

Bipolar Androgen Therapy [BAT] & CRPC - Sam Denmeade, Hopkins.
The hypothesis for BAT is that men with CRPC could respond to rapid
cycling
between polar extremes of supraphysiologic and castrate testosterone levels, whereby rapid
cycling
disrupts adaptive autoregulation of the androgen receptor.

Cautious return after back problems
A couple of weeks
cycling
to work, and a few more runs and I may dare to look at them again. My short term aim is to do another 10k before the end of January. Also to get under 13 stone. I am registered for the Town and Gown 10k in Oxford on May 3rd. My son is too.

Spring 2020 Half Marathon Group 😄 Motivation!
My biggest success has come from finding two things I really enjoy –
cycling
and yoga. Unless it’s
something you actually want to do
, it’ will be hard to motivate yourself to cross train regularly.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy and Angina -
I am trying to understand what triggers my chest discomfort and general feeling of life ebbing away/ Yesterday I went to the gym - my doc spot - recommended gym- walked on the treadmill for half an hour at 0.5 incline and 4.8 / 5.0 speed - then did some

Improving cardiovascular endurance?
I’ve returned to
cycling
(very slowly!) but struggling with football. I was wondering if anyone else had been in a similar situation and were able to get fit again? I know I’m never going to get to the same levels as before but it’s starting to drag me down mentally now.

Cycling instead of running and not sure of calorie intake
I wanted to lose weight and get fitter, so I spent eight weeks sensibly building up to Sofa to 50k, the
cycling
equivalent of Couch to 5k. I completed the training and the ride and my BMI is now at the upper end of normal.

In B12 deficiency, dizziness/ unsteady gait/ balance problem is a major symptom. Can you describe exactly what happens to you while walking?
I loved going for long morning walks ( at least 8 KMS every day) and
cycling
( 18 kms) This was as recent as a month ago, now I am scared. I take a very short walk, at the most a km. avoid
cycling
. I am 64, vegan. Started hydroxycobalamine shots. So far 7 shots every other day.

Fake News!
When my brain starts
cycling
down a path of self-created arguments, I have started telling myself "fake news!" when i realize what I am doing. Have you ever done the same?

Concerned and uncertain
(VERY unlike me as love walking,
cycling
...) All the time heart rate was very high and thready. Subsided but now feel quite scared an wondering if this will recur and if any damage is done during such an episode. Male aged 67.

Sydney to the GONG ~ MS Challenge Ride
. :-) Yesterday, myself and a few of my riding buddies, (Frank, Merv, William, Rick, Vinod & Jimmy), all completed one of the most scenic
cycling
road trips there is in NSW, from Sydney to Wollongong.

Back on the run after a rather long break...
But I kept up with yoga/pilates and then, when I was recovered, had a
cycling
holiday, which really upped my fitness level. It was being stubborn though, which got me through (and a very funny podcast, and some good sunshine).

Todays question from me is ...
Until now and receiving this diagnosis I have been convinced that my
cycling
has been a good rather than bad thing for my health.

Exercise
I am now 74 & up to now have coped ok using
cycling
twice a week (20 to 50 miles) plus the twice daily breathing exercise. Lately it’s getting difficult as I feel so tired. I know that for some on this site even riding a bike at all is a dream. Now I am having more infections. Any ideas. Normc

Cycling and running
I have always been strict on myself to never run two days in a row, but I feel I can be more relaxed about alternating running with
cycling
. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Update - PV + NF1-Brain Tumor + Even more excitement!
The thrombocytosis continues as usual,
cycling
between the 500s and 700s. I am totally asymptomatic for all of the primary PV risks – no thrombosis, hemorrhage, splenomegaly, etc.
