stuck in a perpetual state of uncertainty
Weight shoots up because of insulin, start walking a new dog three times a day, repaired bycycle and started
cycling
regularly. Bingo, weight starts to come down. Warmer weather arrives, Ascites gets worse, odema in the legs shoots up, weight remains the same.

If I can do it, Anyone can
I can’t do that, I’ve problems with my knees that stems from
cycling
at a young age. I don’t have the time to fit this in to my busy schedule. What a heap of codswallop that was looking back.

Its Friday the 1st July.
I still feel weak in the body but its something I can cope with, walking and swimming seem to be my default,
cycling
has taken a back seat seat (where I live it is very hilly, and them there hills are just to much).

Slow decline 🐌
Having done C25K 2 years ago, I was
cycling
once a week, running twice a week and strength training once a week. Since then, we moved and various other things have happened and Ive gradually ended up in the position of one session a week of strength training .

Cyclist / runner recent diagnosis - is it going to get worse?
Background - 47, always played some kind of sport but got into running seriously 10-15 years ago, while also doing some
cycling
. Run a few marathons, then in 2018 my marathon running was ended by a pubis ramus stress fracture. So turned into a cyclist.

Do I have a hysterectomy?
I have had 2 coils, 2 laparoscopys, tried tri-
cycling
my combined pill for years, the mini pill, hormone injections and HRT. I have pain for 7-10days on a 2 weekly cycle and feel like my endo rules my life.

Progressing but may have hit a blip
I went to get my prescription from the chemist,
cycling
there. Whilst in the chemist I began to feel anxious. Maybe it was because I was to have a teams meeting later in the day with work I am unsure.

Is there a “Best way” to handle the transition from 8mg to 7.5mg and beyond?
I went from being very active (competitive Velodrome
cycling
twice a week) and healthy, to needing help from my wife to get dressed - the PMR was a complete surprise, mentally and physically. I’m responding well to the Pred, with no side-effects, and I am not on any other medication of any kind.

Severe Aortic Stenosis
Not sure where to start with this, I am 69, always been fit and healthy, never taken any kind of medication, good diet, ex football,
cycling
, golf, and walking, was a ‘social smoker’ but never heavy, in addition I have had one and only one lifetime phobia - anything medical!

The end of the Shire is near...
Though I now am wondering if I might add indoor
cycling
too or not, not sure yet, personal dilemma. Anyhow so I started - of course - with the first: The Shire. It is about 233 km long and I am today at 210 km, only 23 km left to do.

Patients who exercise? Shall I put BHF on my Strava title?!
I changed the cleats on my
cycling
shoes so after the second breakfast of the day I figured I should go for a ride. Managed the 13km in around 58 minutes & change. The new benchmark then as I’ve not been riding for a while.

Needing to know what happened to me in ICU.
In July 2021 I had a
cycling
accident; I was knocked off my bike by an electric Porsche that tried to pass me on a very narrow lane that wasn’t anywhere near wide enough to be passed safely.

Father’s MRI came back with likely distant spread including to bone — what to expect realistically in 2022?
He is working, exercises fairly regularly for a man of his age (
cycling
). His PSA came in at around 7 (though the 4k test was around 75%). I wonder if any of this is relevant or not-super-high PSA is immaterial once it has likely spread so much. I of course want to get my father the best care.

59 and finally diagnosed
I have been a vegetarian since 18, I have done yoga/swimming/
cycling
/gym for 30 years and have tried every diet and psyllium husks, triaphala and whole foods for years. But have felt so much pain and depression. Gave up dating after my last relationship 6 years ago as so miserable and in pain.

'Maximum' Heart Rate
It's a particular issue
cycling
uphill. I've encountered hills where I've felt I had to stop halfway up, not because I was finding the
cycling
too hard, but because my heart rate had crept far enough past 140 that I was getting nervous about what might happen.
