Hi folks not been on for a while so20 months ago had cardioversion successful no issues getting fitter walking then an e-bike everything going well cycling 15 to 20 miles 3 -4 times a week last Friday had visitors they left me feeling fine about 1500 I started to feel a bit off and tired I could feel my pulse not fast but very strong so I had a sleep for about an hour felt better but not just right a little anxious so I asked my wife who is a nurse to check my pulse it was out of sync so next morning phoned NHS 24 then went to er as instructed and got checked confirmation out of NSR so the doc says not fast pulse so no change to meds but will refer to cardiology so I went home feeling ok after a few hours in the house I was feeling ok the anxiousness had gone so checked pulse again and found myself to be back in sinus rhythm had a day out yesterday all seems fine at the moment any thoughts welcome regards.

Don't think it was heat I live in Ayrshire Scotland it was raining buckets till 1300 I wish I could pin it down to something it was just a normal day as I say it was the first episode since cardioversion in 09 2019

You're most likely to be aware of this, so just a gentle reminder: cardioversion is not a permanent fix and at its most successful will typically keep the patient in sinus rhythm for 2 years or so.Yours has already proved very successful but you should not be surprised if episodes of arrythmia begin to rear their ugly heads again as time passes.

The good news is that you will be considered an excellent candidate for ablation or other treatments in future.
