Terrible thoughts
Hi all. I believe my anxiety stems from caring for my daughter and a fear of something bad happening to her and doing a good enough job of raising her in the eyes of her father and his family ( not together and she's not even known about...incredibly complicated). Initially my anxiety showed up at the

118 Days and 1,400 cigs NOT SMOKED!!
Feeling good, breathing easy, tasting and smelling everything, and putting on some weight (good thing for skinny me). I've got energy to burn now instead of my money going up in smoke. No more trying to hide a hacking cough or worrying if I smelt like an ashtray. I have my life back. What more could

1 month and still quittin'
Hi all, This is the longest I've been without the demon nicotine in my system for decades. I'm still tetchy at times and still think about cigs daily (it's hard not to when taking champix - it's a conscious decision to take the pills every morning and night) but I think I'm starting to breathe a little

Good morning and happy Sunday all... Tomorrow will be 1 month for me, I am so excited ( I think ). Not really been on here for several days... we have been a tad busy getting things ready for Charlie... re-arranging the lounge to fit his crate... (no small task) and working in the garden.... but I try

At Peace - Will I ever get there?
I will be 2 years quit on 27 August - I used champix and 3 courses to get me up to my 6 month mark as I had so many failed attempts I have lost count (definitely over 10 times in the last 5 years!!) finished the course too early on previous attempts and relapsed immediately. I am delighted how far I

First time poster, 11 days into quitting (with the aid of Champix)
Hi all, Firstly, thanks to all contributors on this site, it's great for support and motivation - reading other's stories helps keep perspective on things. I'm 38 and have been smoking on and off (more on than off) since my late teens. I seem to be able to quit for periods of time but I always fall

Over a year now without cracking.
Stop Smoking This is my daily update on my decision to stop smoking, and my subsequent experiences. I had smoked for around fifty years. Before my recent decision to stop, I had been resigned to smoking for the rest of my life. The reasoning behind that stems from two bad experiences I suffered

9 Weeks and forgetting to count
Hi all. Another week went by yesterday ( 9 weeks) and I didn't even notice. I must be making progress from counting the days, to weeks, and now even forgetting to do that. I have noticed that the fine weather is triggering thoughts of sitting outside enjoying a drink (and a smoke to go with it). Feels

Yay 4 wks smoke free
After taking champix for less than two weeks I've managed to stop smoking since day 2 , I'm pleased and feel so much better but I find I'm being a bit grumpy I'm missing the cigs but not enough to smoke again. I don't want to be grumpy though so please tell me this low mood will pass?
