welly...Welcome and congratulations on your 3 weeks smober...Oh, that nice haertbeat in the throat...Yes, I was excited to feel that because I thought it is the old heart coming back to life after I smothered it for so many years...!! I also quit with the aid of Champix...!

I dont know if it is normal but it does go away and really not to worry about...except when it really starts to flutter badly and causes a change in BP...!!

Stay strong and as I love to say this quit thing is an amazing rediscovery of life...!!

Welcome welly1 and congratulations on 3 weeks quit, that is great, well done :)

I quit cold turkey over 20 months ago so don't know about the champix but if they get worse or not ease off would just go back to your doctor for reassurance that it is just a side affect of it - could too be just anxiety too from quitting that is causing it, have a look at below pinned post if not already done so. Looking forward to reading your updates!

PS Can you just confirm your quit date for your milestone badges - 24 May?

That feeling of wanting is perfectly normal welly1 and you will have it for some time yet as you lost your long term crutch and your body and mind is working very hard repairing and recovering - just continue to take it hour by hour and day by day ready to attack at all times - you will grow stronger, I promise ;)

Keep in touch!

Hi,

I've been on champix for nearly exactly the same amount of time and haven't noticed anything like this. If it has been going on for a while it may be worth a quick check with your Doctor.

Let us know how you get on.

Best regards,

George

PS 3 weeks clear of smoking! Well done.
