Help in stopping smoking.
Hi, Trying here to give up smoking and was given a prescription from GP for Champix but cant find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I could get them online? Or if anyone knows where I could buy Zyban online? Any help appreciated.

Champix has been mentioned a few times here over the years - so there is a reasonable possibility that some members are taking it - or people they know. It is used for smoking cessation support. [i]

This is how far I've come.
Was diagnosed in 2017 with copd, was quite mild and I carried on smoking stupidly. I kept thinking about stopping smoking but just couldn't do it, did quite stressful job in care and lots of colleagues smoked, so we used to have breaks together. Anyway I noticed whenever I got a cold it would always turn

Job done!
I haven't posted in a very long time, I am sure there are still people around from my old days. I kicked, cried and relapsed so many times, more than I can count really. Finally, after many attempts, I stopped smoking in 2015 just before my 40th birthday. It was tough, but with champix and this forum

2 years since I quit!🤩
Well it’s just over 2 years since I last smoked & am so relieved I decided to do it after over 50 years. Had to rely on Champix to support me but it was worth it. So to those just starting out please stick with it - there is light at the end of the tunnel.!

Champix. When is re-available in the U.K?
I have just been informed there is no Champix throughout the country. Does anyone know when/if this will change?

Frightful fags
I've been a smoker for more than 40 years and finally decided my health comes first, it's become too expensive, I detest being reliant on a little stick and it's smelly, my house is coated in yellow. Enough. 7 Feb I decided was the day. My granddaughter brought mme the gift of Covid19 on 7 May, and Champix

5 months today
Hi All I can't believe I've reached 5 months smoke free today and I don't really think about smoking anymore. For those struggling I know how hard it is but you have to want to stop, for me my last chest infection was the last straw. I knew I had to stop and I am still trying to regain some lung capacity

Chinese herbs - so far, so good!
I have suffered from RLS for more than 60 years and it has gotten steadily worse with age. (I am now 84.) About three weeks ago, I stumbled on this two-year-old online article about Chinese herbs for RLS: https://www.adiantumschool.com/single-post/2019-02-06-herbs-for-restless-leg-syndrome I had tried

Anti-smoking drug
I'm considering asking my GP for a prescription for Champix to help me stop smoking. Does anyone know anything about this drug, whether it worsens RLS or might interfere with the action of the opiates I use to combat it?

Hi Lovely People :)
I am about to start the course and have been a smoker since 15 and am now 33. More than half my silly life I have been smoking. I have allergic reactions to the patches so was advised Champix can be the catalyst I am after. I am concerned about the side effects. I am normally stress free, healthy (
