Cortisone side effects. Help!
A week ago I had cortisone injections to both ring finger PIP joints. Within 24 hours I experienced severe facial flushing and feeling generally unwell, this continued throughout the following day, with hot flushes washing over me. Two nights later I started to feel very anxious. I awoke in the night

Cortisone injection for PMR
Hello! I've had PMR and been on Prednisolone for about 5 years. My brother rang me today saying that his GP thinks he may have PMR and has given him a cortisone injection in his buttock and told him that his symptoms should go within a month if it is PMR. To come back and see him then and get a blood

Hi all, after a few months struggling with pain caused by osteoarthritis 😭 resulting in sleeplessness and frequent heart 'bumps and wobbles' I finally got to see a consultant physiotherapist who gave me a cortisone injection in my hip and told me to exercise gently as much as possible until the pain

Would like input from people who have tried Saxenda (especially people with hypothyroidism)
I'm new to this group but already a member of the thyroid and diabetes forums. I'm desperate to lose weight. I've been overweight most of my adult life. I started dieting at 13 and 20 years of yo-yo dieting followed. In my early 30s, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (low thyroid, caused by autoimmune

Itchy wrists?
Ok, I think I have a new symptom, which I don’t exactly understand. Both of my wrists have started itching on the back hand side. It’s been coming on for some months, but now it’s present every day. Cortisone cream helps a bit, but it comes back. Anyone have this freaky symptom?

Ongoing Fatigue
Having been diagnosed with AIH last April, (aged 71 and in previous good health) I have been on cortisone and azathropine which worked well and is gradually being reduced to a target of 5mg a day (on 10mg at the moment). But since I went down to the 10mg dose

Hip problems from Pred?
You know when problems occur, other than Pmr pain, I mean, you always ask yourself if it comes from me being on cortisone for a longer time. Since April I have had quite severe problems with my left hip. This is not My Pmr, it is more like arthrose or impegniment syndrome. Can it be that my joint is

"Dry skin" and Pegasys
Many people here report that Pegasys gives them dry skin. No doubt this is often true because Pegasys has a GIGANTIC range of side-effects. But I wanted to call attention to something else Pegasys does which could be confused with dry skin. Pegasys is a recombinant alpha interferon (IFN-α) and as

RELIEF FOR THE KNEE PAIN--AT LAST!!! BUT WILL IT MATTER?
We spent last week back in FLA visiting our kids and grandkids in Orlando. Then yesterday we went back to Ft. Lauderdale and I saw my neurologist who had treated my migraines, MS pain, and my MS when we still lived there. I told him what had been going on with my left knee since basically last October
