Renin is responsible for maintaining the function of the kidney mainly by affecting the blood pressure, so a high level of renin will tend to cause high blood pressure. It’s a complicated process. If you are concerned try and bring the appointment forward. Has anyone mentioned plasma exchange?

Hi Suzy I'm waiting for his doctor's opinion who is the nephrologist that saved him three years ago. My son is now good and his exams are good: no infiammation. He takes Ramipril and his blood pressure has always been right ,sometimes low. Why renin is high.? He had to take a lot of cortisone but now he stopped . Nobody speeks to me about plasma exchange for him. I thought it was only for eliminating Anca titles
