Pinched sciatic nerve scheduled for cortisone shot. Oncologist ordered MRI as psa has ticked up from .016 to .081 in last 6 months. Should I be concerned? What are options?

Cortisone for pinched sciatic nerve
I nearly got steroid epidural for sciatica, but a good PT got me on the road to recovery, and I didn't get the injection. I'd try that first.
This is a small rise in PSA, could be caused by inflammation. I would not be concerned. If you get a series of increases then you need to take action
Cortisone injection where? If you have no history of back/sciatic pain, a cortisone shot first is a strange choice. Physiotherapy or chiropractic would be my first choice.
Sciatica is very hard to relieve. I hope the cortisone works.
I had protruding L5-S1 causing some sciatica in my posterior leg. Thought I was headed for surgery, but got rid of it through PT. If your disc is protruding, it may help to do these sequences: 1) yoga: cat-cow-cobra, and 2) hang on pull-up bar for 30 seconds, then do standing cobra. Those two sequences solved the issue after a few months, moving the disc back in place, and no more pain.
Usually the cortisone shots are temporary relief while doctor prescribes a few weeks of PT. After 3 shots if no success, then option for surgery. I know three guys who've had the surgery and was successful with two of them.
Have you tried Acupuncture? Pin the tail on the donkey doesn't count.

Thx, I was pretty far gone. It hit just as I was starting a business trip that
involved several cross country flights and so I missed the ounce of protection that my pt therapist would have given. You live and learn.
Correction: With Pca... It's you learn to live...
