WHY I HATE THE MEDICAL PROFESSION
Tuesday I went to a knee surgeon because of the knee pain and the pain specialist's findings of avascular necrosis in the subpatellar bones. She saw the MRIs and said that she sees a lot of this from steroid use, but
that it does not hurt unless the knee is collapsing, which mine is not.

Undiagnosed Pelvic, Urethral, and Vaginal Pain / Itch / Bloating
I'm desperate for any help / guidance. I went off of the birth control pill back in September 2018. Since then, I've had a slight vaginal itch, but it seemed to go away when I'd get my next period. I got my period every 55 days off of the pill, until February 3, 2019. That was the date of my last period

Kenalog cortisone Injection
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2018 by my Rheumatologist after two visits. In November I asked for an appointment with the NHS physio team to help with the pain and excercise as I had restriction in arms movement. I got an appointment with them pretty quickly he suggested the restriction I had

Let me introduce myself...
Dear All, I was at last diagnosed with PMR yesterday after some years now of being in excruciating pain each and every sleepless night and a few periods when I arrived at destinations to find I actually couldn't get out of the car. As you can imagine it was a considerable relief at getting this diagnosis

Hyperthyroidism and hypopituitarism: two incompatible diagnoses?
This is a moderately interesting case report. However, the reason I am posting is mostly to do with the comment that Graves (Hyperthyroidism) and hypopituitarism are not mutually exclusive. Just why would anyone ever suggest they are mutually exclusive? Entirely different mechanisms. Just because the

PMR reoccurrence or Rheumatoid Arthritis
My SED rate has never shown anything. My CRP has never been high. When I was first diagnosed with PMR back in 2016 I had trouble getting up off the floor or tying my shoes. I went to surgeon that did my surgery on my left should and he gave me cortisone shot. I was instantly better. I was finally

Did physiotherapy or cortisone injections help you?
My scan results came back and I have a slipped disc that moves and presses on my spine and my sciatic nerve. I currently take tramadol but they want to take everyone off of tramadol so the GP mentioned cortisone injections but she said I have to have physio first or else the referral will be bounced

Does anyone know the work of Dr. Ray Peat?
I have been reading a few articles by RP plus an interview with him by Mary Shomon, and I have to say I am really confused. I must have misunderstood something, but if anyone here is familiar with his work please tell me where I got it wrong: - he seems to say that T4 blocks the action of T3, yet advocates
