Pentasa 2 500mg twice a day
Hi does this seem correct for ulcerative
colitis
. I had a private prescription from the consultant switched to nhs because it was so much cheaper and this is what it’s come out as? That seems a lot? Also it takes to take for 2 months but I’ve only been given a 100 tablets?

Finally Been referred for a Colonoscopy!
Does anyone treat their Crohns or
Colitis
/ IBD naturally with no medications and is there a way of reducing the inflammation through diet? Has anyone ever done the coeliac test through the GP, how much gluten do you need to consume per day.

For me being a coeliac who has microscopic
colitis
I have to be very careful with everything that I eat and drink and have to avoid all alcohol.

Non specific colitis... Need help!
Biopsy came in as non specific
colitis
, possibility of post infectious
colitis
. BUT the report also mentioned "local genesis". Either way, the GI told me to get the calpro done and the value was above 1000...saod to wait out since I don't have any other symptoms and repeat calpro in 4 weeks..

Diagnosed with UC and problems with Diarrhea - Need Advice.
I've been diagnosed with mild Ulcerative
Colitis
some 6 months back. I've been on Mascol ever since and have had two spells of Deltacortril ( One lasting a month and then when the bleeding didn't stop, had to have it for 3 months).

GP randomly stopped my medication due to my timidness (I'm very worried) I feel like I'm being bullied...
as I was having panic attacks after my panic attacks had stopped I explained to my old GP it also has had a positive impact on muscle spasms and cramps, and he was quite happy about that, as we were trying a lot of different medications to stop the muscle spasms and cramps due to having Ulcerative

20 years with CLL, just found this group
Hi all, I'm 79 yo with a WBC of around 100, mutated, a few slightly enlarged lymph nodes, lymphocytic
colitis
, and chronic fatigue. No treatment yet except regular infusions of IGG to pump up my immune system. I'm interested in any of your experiences with symptoms and treatments.

Israeli Researchers Make Breakthrough in Fight Against Lupus
mtDNA has also been found in the plasma of patients of other autoimmune diseases such as

When to move on to next treatment?
After two rounds ended up in ICU with
colitis
and chemo stopped. Then Provenge while waiting for trial to open. Has had two infusions of ipilumumab and nivolumab as part of the re-formulated checkmate 650 trial- but PSA seems really high and it feels weird just watching it go up and up!

PCP Pneumonia Prophylaxis
I went to my first rheumatologist visit on November 21. Had been on 60 mg prednisone since October 15. She told me I now have essentially no working immune system, and am at high risk for Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP). She started me on Bactrim (TMP/SMX) 3 times weekly as prophylaxis. I did a quick search

Vaxchora and other year ends news
The bad news is that the prednisone taken with Zytiga apparently controlled my “radiation
colitis
.” Within 3 weeks after I stopped the prednisone I had diarrhea all day everyday for 3 months until we started to figure it out.

How I overcame IBS-D
E407, or “Carrageenan” – is a food additive derived from a red seaweed, which is only present in small quantities as a thickener, but even at low levels it has been shown to be “highly inflammatory to the digestive tract” and associated with IBS,
colitis
and other GI diseases.
