Statins
My GP wants me to start on statins based on an analysis of my cholesterol level and various other factors including postcode (not sure why this is a consideration as I live in a fairly ordinary surburban area). When I read up on statins I was rather put off when I read about the risk of type 2 diabetes

Blood results - no values given - advice please!
Hi All, so I've had my yearly blood test with full blood counts, fasting glucose, HBA1C and TSH. To get my results my GP practice doctor calls us and goes through the results; of which he only mentioned TSH, not all results so I had to ask for the fasting glucose and HBA1C. He seemed reluctant to discuss

borderline diabetic? What medications can cause this?
I have been told by my GP that following my annual blood tests my blood sugar levels are raised suggesting I could be borderline diabetic. This has really shocked me as there is no known history of diabetes either side of my parental families and I am not obese, although a tad overweight. I was wondering

Blood sugar testing without pricking finger tips !
What is the future of blood sugar testing? Even though you can monitor blood sugar level with glucometers and CGMs, the future might provide additional ways to manage your diabetes. Multiple waves: Researchers have been studying and experimenting with new technologies. For example, some adults with

Chronic constipation
Please help with some advice. My husband is having so much trouble with constipation. He has tried increasing fiber and liquids, stool softeners, Miralax, Metamucil, magnesium citrate, Senna, Linzess, etc. etc. The only thing that gets him actually going is Dulcolax. He has been to the emergency

sugar levels up
Hello all, hope everyone is staying safe. Recently my fasting sugar levels and post meal have been going up for no reason I can attribute to. Quick background: I'm 55, male, was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2011 in Singapore (been here since 94). I was given Metformin 500mg and Dimicron XR60 at that time

Low free T3, T4, rT3 - advice needed please?
Hi, please could someone offer some advice on how I can improve my T3, T4 rT3? I was suffering from a virus (not Covid) over the summer and since then my white blood count (immune system) has been low but is starting to build back to again slowly. I also didn’t have a period for 5 months in that time

My fasting Blood sugar test was repeated and found to be 77mg/dL
In continuation to my previous three posts ( which you must read ), I am pleased to post my fasting blood sugar readings. The screen also shows my vitamin B12 & vitamin D level . My sufficient D level in my blood seems to have protected me from Covid19 so far 🙏with all blessings from "SUN GOD" , though

High vitamin A, E, and D intake linked to fewer respiratory complaints in adults.
High intakes of vitamins A, E, and D are linked to fewer respiratory illnesses, experts have suggested, as they called for further research into their effect on coronavirus. A new long-term study involving 6,115 adults starting in 2008 suggests that taking the vitamins either through food or as a supplement

CR2: Idle-chatter run produces PB 🚨🚨🚨🔔🔔
I set Runkeeper as, on CR1, I’d deviated to take a photo and ran on the spot. So some new stats, I figured, could offer a baseline. ‘Twas not to be. My notes on Runkeeper say: ‘overcast; counterclockwise; pre-lunch; knew we were going faster and pushing’. That’s shows how brief this post could be.

Controlling FBS Levels
Hi everyone! Can anyone suggest how to keep fasting blood sugar levels between 70 and 100? I understand that the upper limit was 140 in the early 90s.
