My 3 year old has a terrible time sleeping!
My 3 year old has all the symptoms of ADD and probably some anxiety as well. These last few months, he will not stay in bed at night and freaks out if we close the door (he's usually up at least 3 times). I think there are several issues going on (afraid of the dark, his brain just won't shut off, he

I came across this via a Datis Kharrazian email I received today. "From the moment your eyes open in the morning, your cortisol levels should rise by 50 to 150 percent and then gradually decline throughout the day. In other words, you should wake up feeling alert, energized, and ready to charge into

In Pursuit Of Restful Sleep And Help For Nocturia
One topic that seems to come up regularly on this forum is the issue of poor sleep or insomnia and it seems very common in PWP so I thought I would try another experiment to see if I could improve on my current sleep regimen and if I could, I wanted to share that information here on the forum. On that

Very poor sleep. Suggestions?
PD symptoms first appeared about five years ago. Officially diagnosed last fall. Not taking any allopathic meds or mucuna so far. My sleep is terrible, typically 3-5 hours per night. The problem is not physical stiffness or pain. Just difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. I am not particularly

Has anyone taken melatonin long term?
My GP has prescribed melatonin for my hypnagogic hallucinations and just 2 mg a night has stopped them. However she is only permitted to prescribe them for 13 weeks as there is no long term research confirming their safety. Has anyone been taking melatonin for longer with no problems?

Dealing with probable but undiagnosed sleep apnea
So I got sort of a diagnosis of benign fasciculation syndrome over a year and a half ago, and have been in misery since dealing with it all the time. It basically means random muscles around my body twitch sporadically, sometimes constantly, without stopping. I saw three neurologists and all of them

Medicine/Supplement Regime (Mucuna etc)
I just thought I'd share my dad's current medicine regime in case it will help other people. After so many months of trial and error, we have finally found a dose that works for my dad. He takes it every 2 hours and 45 minutes with little freezing, has less dyskinesias, not much pain, a better appetite
