Coughing when eating follow up
Had my endoscopy today, and the surgeon did a stretch, but said he didn't think that was the problem and is referring me to a 'Swallow Therapist' didn't know they had them, she will watch as I have another barium swallow xray, and hopefully will come up with a solution. At least I can relax now I know

Tics while trying to sleep
The last few nights I seem to have developed an increasingly bad issue with tics getting worse when I am trying to sleep. I've had this issue before, but not for years at the level of severity these last few nights. Tonight I've taken some diazepam and done an hour and a half or so on an exercise

I was diagnosed with IBS years ago. Week ago I had abdominal pain [walked for 9 days before going to A&E for help because doctor didnt know]
An xray showed faecal impaction. I was shocked because my bowel movements were normal-no constipation. Was prescribed lactulose and Ispaghula Husk. Slightly improved.... Has anyone else had this? How long does it take to clear? Should I try Epsom Salts? Also read about OxyPowder [supposed to be really

What's the best way to deal with someone in an anxiety crisis?
When my partner enters an extreme anxiety phase it feels impossible to talk with him rationally. He gets tunnelled visioned, becomes obsessed with detail and doesn't seem able to see the big picture anymore. He gets so overwhelmed with issues that he stays up all night, he doesn't eat properly and he

Bog Off Viral Meningitis, I'm Back to Normal......
One of the common themes in questions about viral meningitis I see is 'when I'm going to be back to normal' or 'I just want to get back to normal'. For some people viral meningitis is a bit of an inconvenience for others, unfortunately like me, its a life changing experience full of compromises

I don't enjoy computer jokes. Not one bit. I changed my iPod's name to Titanic. It's syncing now. When chemists die, they barium. Jokes about German sausage are the wurst. How does Moses make his tea? Hebrews it. I stayed up all night to see where the sun went. Then it dawned on me

Restless Legs - GP answers the question.
Just to let the people who asked me to post how I got on at the GPs with my restless legs and twitching. The dr said it is possible to treat, as I think someone mentioned you have to take a valium based medicine, or alternatively drugs developed for parkinsons. In my case she has decided to send my

Hello all, I am new here. If I can go back to the beginning to give you a idea of how things lie, I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some advice. 30 years ago when I was 22 I used to do a job that involved driving round rural areas, farms etc delivering newspapers
