What are your thoughts on Pain Control
I had minimal pain, mainly back ache, which I thought at the time was due to a
back
injury
I got in 2018. Now I can see that the event in 2018 was probably PCa already. Anyway, treatment: ADT , Eligard, Zytiga 1000mg per day, and 5mg Prednisone. Anyway, at PSA 300 I had minimal pain.

Hi experts. I upped my pred dose to 20 mg 2 weeks ago believing I had PMR flare after dropping to 15 for 2 weeks. But with your knowledge and experience you suggested Piriformis syndrome - am still struggling with the PS pains but am fortunately having some sports therapy massage and stretching and exercising

To Work or Not to Work.
There has been some recent discussions around the subject of returning to work and how compatible this might be with a diagnosis of PMRGCA. I too am currently having this mental debate as I prepare for a 3rd and final attempt at returning to work in a primary school. I'm not posting this particularly

Experiences of paracentesis (drainage of ascites)
Hello As you may remember, Ovacome are working with Dr Roshan Agarwal, consultant oncologist at Northampton General Hospital, to help clinicians better understand the patient experience of paracentesis, also known as ascites drainage. Last year we carried out a survey into experiences of paracentesis

Doctor visit
Hi everyone hope all is well. We finally had our Dr. visit with Dr Bang from John Hopkins after over a year. She said that Rick is in the last stage and told me to take him off Tramadol and to only give him clonazepam only when needed. She also gave him some new medicine Trazodone 50 mg for his sleeping

Hi everyone Has anybody ever been prescribed Rifaximin by an endo/doctor for treating sibo. My result for sibo came back positive and my endocrinologist has suggested trying Rifaximin antibiotic for a course of 14 days. However, irs incredibly expensive and Iโm just worried my GP wonโt prescribe it

Aching Archilles heel injury
Hi everyone, I graduated a few weeks
back
and fortunately escaped the
injury
couch. I have carried on running 5k three times a week for 3 weeks now. My 11 year old son wanted to start running with me so in between my runs I started with him on Wk1. But my right archilles heal has started to hurt.

Late to the pilates party
I'm also heartened by the fact that when I do start running again (๐) my core, posture and balance will have been improved without risk of further
injury
. I've decided I'm never going
back
to high energy Hiit workouts, Joe Wicks, squats etc.

Yoga for beginners
I am recently
back
running after an
injury
kept me from running for months. I have two questions and also would appreciate any advice. Firstly, I've always been really flexible, but my period of enforced low activity has really stiffened things up for my lower body.

Doctors
If pain treatment and/or desperately needed referrals are refused where can you get help? As a result of this treatment (or lack of it) in June 2019, I quickly needed to use crutches. Nov 2020, my severe bone on bone hip gave way, and I broke the good leg. Reluctance to answer my calls for help

Tales from the IC: Getting to know my Metatarsals (# 1)
Ok, so for the first time since starting to run nearly 2 years ago, Iโm taking a cautious step
back
and am preparing to be on the
Injury
Couch for a stint. With this I hope to minimise the risk of a more serious injury.
