Hi everyone I’m 57 and have been diagnosed with osteoporosis after having had a bone scan, recommended since I am on a lot of treatment for bipolar. My reading for my spine is -4.5 and I am getting the impression this is really quite high. I suffer from constipation already because of my medication and

New on this forum and newly diagnosed with osteoporosis, advice please
I recieved a letter from the hospital detailing a 12% risk following a DXA scan which I thought sounded low risk but the GP told me I have osteoporosis via a telephone call. I've booked a face to face appointment in a few week's time. I was sent for the scan after 2 falls and ankle fractures and then

I'm new here - feel like it's all in my head...
Hi all, I'm here and going back and forth in my head as to whether I'm just being a princess about period pain or whether there is some endo going on! I have been on and off the pill since 2010. Mainly the progesterone-only pill, cerazette, due to migraines so can't have the combined pill. I came off

Grannacat-pbc-ursodoil-liver disease
I was diagnosed with PBC in 2015. I am taking 2 Ursodiol 250 mg twice each day. I was diagnosed by liver biopsy. I see a gastroenterologist once a year and they act like it’s no big deal. I am currently trying to get an an appointment with a liver specialist. I eat healthy and take my meds.

Recently diagnosed with PBC and AHI
First, I want to apologize for this being so long. I am new to the site. I am 52 and live in Denver, CO. For the last 8 weeks, I have been having dizzy spells. 2 weeks ago, on Thursday January 26th I blacked out and fell. Which caused me to have pain on my right side. I went to my Doctors for a chest

Advice please!
Hi I have had PMR for many years now and I am sure it is stress related. Almost a year ago I had to have a total hip replacement due to avascular necrosis. The femoral head had disintegrated and I am now a mix of titanium, porcelain and cement. Unfortunately the op left me with sacroilitis and the PMR

Update from Locum app and urgent advice on R-lipoid Acid
Hello, I wrote a few months ago was feeling very unwell with my neuro symptoms, Had an app with new locum. Turned out she was lovely. Listened to me, didn't type during consultation and without me having to ask suggested further bloods for thyroid and antibodies. If needed she would start medication.

Not been diagnosed yet but does this sound like Endo to you? (Sorry for long post)
I went the doctors in September because I’d had continuous bleeding for a several months with some pelvic pain - she treated me for bacterial vaginosis which a swab said it wasn’t. I went back because the bleeding was heavier and the pelvic pain was getting worse- keeping me awake at night. She prescribed

My list of daily supplements
Now that I am finally recovering from the flu I am going to post what the daily regimen of supplements I am taking. Prior to listing the vitamins, minerals, amino acids....I am taking, I need to relate a little history. I have a degree in sculpture and was exposed to many chemicals including toluene

Recent suspected diagnosis
Hi everyone, I've been having irregular periods and pain for the last 3 years. I have been put on the contraceptive pill and taken off it, had the mirena coil put in, had mefanamic and tranexamic acid. Each one has helped a little but the pain is still unbearable and the bleeding continues daily. I

13k
Feeling a bit snoozy right now (think it’s the underactive thyroid making itself known) so this will be a very brief post. This morning’s Canicross run was practically on my doorstep, but I had to do some advance planning so that I could do the 13k that MyAsics wanted me to, instead of the 8k that
