Challenging diagnosis of thyroid hormone resistance initially as Hashimoto's thyroiditis
We have many times had discussions here about how difficult it can be to be certain of thyroid diagnoses. This is a short paper which highlights one instance. Can sleeping tablets make sleep apnea worse?
Hi all, just had a quick question - can herbal sleeping tablets worsen sleep apnea? I am not actually diagnosed with it yet, but strongly suspect that that a what's happening. Took some herbal sleep aid last night and as soon as I was drifting off I would stop breathing every time. Woke myself up a few

Cost of urso. Where can I order it?
I live in the US. My insurance covers the Ursodiol and my cost had been $10 a month. It is still covered, but my cost jumped to $191!. I used a Good Rx coupon and got it down to $146, but that's just not sustainable. I take 300mg 2x's a day. Does anyone know of a reliable Canadian pharmacy from which

Spanish study using TUDCA and the other NAC, Vitamin E, and alpha-lipoic acid
I’m sure many have stumbled on the two separate Spanish studies using TUDCA and the other NAC, Vitamin E, and alpha-lipoic acid. I’ve tried each for awhile, however stopped. It is very difficult to try and do a study on yourself. Has anyone had any success/results?

Antioxidants and gastric stress
Hi all. I posted about neuropathy a while back. I’ve done lots of research and it seems that for the most part this is down to some inability to absorb B12 although it’s common for diabetics and alcoholics. It’s pretty painful and naturally I have been trying to find a solution that avoids drugs like

Melatonin helps sleep
Any words of wisdom regarding Melatonin as sleep aid? I've always been a light sleeper, sensitive to sounds, light, etc. in the past (50 years now), I blamed this problem on having raised children, always aware of unusual sounds, etc., in the night, which translates to interrupted sleep.. With PMR

Does topical retinoic acid effect the thyroid??
I believe that 25 years of daily topical Retin a has had an effect on my ability to convert t4 to active t3 based on my blood work. I do not have an autoimmune disorder. Wondering if it has something to do with retinol binding receptors and thyroid receptors?? Any ideas!????
