Weight gain with PMR
Has anyone else experienced the weight gain with tapering off and not when on high dosage. I have had to be on higher dosages 2 different times (not properly diagnosed the first time and Prednisone was stopped). I had a lot of energy and was actually hyper and had to take Ambien to sleep. Perhaps

Broken ankle, should I be concerned?
Hi, I have kind of neglected my health, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in my lower back in 2009 at the age of 38 and given calcium tablets and Alendronic Acid tablets which I have not taken as I should have done! I guess because it's an invisible disease? Far more immediate in daily life has been

Cardiovascular side effects of Lupron?
I have had premature ventricular contractions show on stress EKG's for 40 years; doctors said "harmless". When RP failed after 7 years, I started Lupron 2 months ago on top of vitamin C and alpha Lipoic acid infusions, and many supplements. There was a period when pulse rate fell in 40's, but now back

Thiamine and Benfo Thiamine Advice
I have had thiamine tablets made up for me. They are thiamine hydrochloride 130mg. And I am advised that I should take Benfo Thiamine as well. The tablets I have also include 50mg lipoic acid. Can anyone advise me about quantities I should take. And are there side effects? Should I start slowly? Also

Hello I am Marieeve
I had Zoledronic Acid infusion, 25 July/17. I have not felt well ever since. At the moment I am getting very bad back pain from the waist up. is this due to Pagets? We can all be wise after, if I had a choice now I would NEVER have this treatment. Any one out there think about it very hard and long,

Heavy periods - medication?
So, work has said even though I have heavy periods (I also get horrible pains, another post) - changing a tampon and a pad (thickest ones) every hour for a few days, and bringing in extra change of trousers, I still need to be in work, I can't be off. Problem is gravity takes effect when I stand up,

Confused and need help please
Hello everyone, my story is a long one I'm afraid so I'll be as brief as possible. I was diagnosed with GCA in December 2012 after a 15 week headache on the left side. Started on 60mgs of prednisolone and reduced fairly successfully to around 10mgs within a year after the introduction of methotrexate

Got my results, should I start meds or try to improve with exercise?
Total T score of spine L1 to L4 is -2.3 L3 -3.1 L4 - 2.4 L1 and L2 are - 1.7 Femoral neck, normal Total hip, normal FRAX interpretation high risk. DJR1 does this make sense to you? Do you know why top of spine is not assessed? Do you think I can improve this through exercise and diet
