Hi guys I’m new to all this...literally! I also apologise for TMI! I’ve had problems since my periods began at 14, I’m now nearly 22. I saw gynae when I was younger and basically got told it could be painful periods. Coped with it in silence for years until I went back to see gynae in March after begging

Hi. My name is Louise and I am 39 yrs old and was told after a liver biopsy that I either have PBC or autoimmune hepatitis. I should find out in the next week which one. It has come as a huge shock to me as I've never really had any symptoms apart from discomfort in the right side of abdomen. I have

Need outside views and opinions on the affects ADHD has had on my life, and what I need to do moving forward.
I'm not entirely sure what to write or in what order, I'm out of my element seemingly writing something and presenting it to a faceless entity. I'm 23 years old and live/was raised in Suffolk on Long Island, NY. I was raised mostly by my controlling mother as she left my father when I was 4 and remarried

Specialist Appointment
So my GP has referred me to a specialist and my appointment is in September... I'm glad that I'm being seen it feels like things are moving forward but in the mean time I've been put on tranexamic acid (was on mefenamic) and it's not doing me any good... no difference in symptoms or flow. I'm not really

What's this obsession with Alendronic Acid?
I rang the help line for Rheumatology this morning as the shoulder and necks pains I have been getting are worse. They eventually returned my call, said the bloods were normal and that because I am not taking Alendronic Acid I must go for an X-ray to rule out a compression fracture. "No it can't be

TTC how do you cope with period pain
Hi, My partner and I are in our 2nd month trying for a baby. Both months have led to a period which is unbearable as I’m not on any progesterone. AF arrived this morning and I considered getting a 3am hot bath as the pain all in my back, tummy and thights was so bad. I was able to take my mefanamic

How do you cope with endometriosis?
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed in January after a long time of drs not believing my pain was real. I finally had a laparoscopy end of feb where they removed as much as possible. Some symptoms have gone but most have just worsened making most days a struggle, sometimes I just feel so defeated, I don’t know

It rears its ugly head...
I used to have panic attacks when I was a teenager - they were so bad that it got me exploring my own mental health only to find that I have Bi Polar disorder with anxiety and panic disorder. I have been on a medication regiment from the age of 16. Now, I'm 32 and my panic attacks have come back full

I didn't know psoriasis could almost disappear!
After decades of having to use a coal tar shampoo every 3 days or suffer severe itching, flaking, and red spots that bled, I now can go weeks and sometimes months without using any special shampoo and only occasionally using a 3% salicylic acid shampoo. The coal tar shampoo stunk and had to be followed

The Importance Of Regular Scans
Hi everyone. I am posting this here tonight because I feel that it is so important that all of you brave men ask for scans to be carried out regularly. In Paul's case, I think we could have discovered the liver mets sooner if a scan had been performed earlier. Now I am not saying that the doctors made

PIP awarded until Feb 2019 Taken off me
Hi After being awarded standard rate for daily living mid 2016 until Feb 2019 I was pleased. My husband is my constant carer as I struggle with all daily tasks. Daily living is a struggle to say the least. Out of the blue earlier this year the DWP sent a form to fill in about changes to my disabilities
