Feeling a bit snoozy right now (think it’s the underactive thyroid making itself known) so this will be a very brief post.
This morning’s Canicross run was practically on my doorstep, but I had to do some advance planning so that I could do the 13k that MyAsics wanted me to, instead of the 8k that was planned for the Canicross peeps. Luckily I have good friends so a lift was arranged to the start so I could branch off near the end and run home. Another friend opted to join me and I then gave her and her dog a lift back up to the start (and her car).
As has become usual, of late, I had to borrow a dog - today it was a girl called Blu who is gorgeous, and a very excellent running buddy 😍
It rained last night so the ground was very muddy and slippy, but I think I was the only person to fall over. Of course it had to happen when I was really close to being back home! Though that was lucky, really, as I actually caught my hand on some barbed wire (brand new and shiny not rusty, thank goodness) and my friend was able to clean it up using the First Aid kit in my car.

Well done for engineering your longer run! I have 13km scheduled next week and am nervous already. It will be my longest run to date. Top tips? Apart from slow down of course.
So i chose 13km made up of 3 segments I have run countless times but not bolted together. By thinking of it as 3 small runs it actually seemed shorter than the 11k last weekend.
I was SO glad it was the new stuff, there’s some really rusty stuff farther down the hill! I haven’t napped - but I have spent all afternoon on the sofa 👍
She’s a stunner.
Well done on getting the 13k done. That is one beautiful running companion you have there. Hope your cuts heal soon, such an annoyance but at least you are ok.
