Immunity Question
My Rheumy has prescribed preventative
antibiotics
to protect me from pneumonia. I've mentioned this before to this group and received some excellent feedback. Apparently, such a recommendation is common here in the States, but not so common in Europe.

Help please for daughter abroad
Then onto
antibiotics
and then a change to Flagyl which helped. She then had a Colonoscopy at another hospital which showed Colitis (by this time the infection had gone) She was given granules and steroids which cleared the whole thing up.

Sulfasalazine and recent wee colour change back to normal
When I started taking sulfasalazine a couple of years ago, my wee became a dark straw coloured and told that was normal. Two days ago I started having really frequent, very painful wee, sometimes urgent, sometimes a little blood stained, but noticed my wee was no longer dark, sometimes quite pale.

just want to know I’m okay and not alone
It says after 24 hours of
antibiotics
it’s not contagious, and that would be in like three hours. I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask her. im sorry for this long rant. Thank you if you took the time to read it.. I don’t have anything in particular that I’m asking. I just needed to not feel alone.

An update on my wife. With a question...
The doctor whom I spoke to via 111 who prescribed her
antibiotics
and an inhaler said he would have given steroids like Predniselone if he could have examined her lungs to hear them.

tooth extraction
I am just finishing a course of
antibiotics
for a tooth infection and am having the tooth out on Thursday morning. Do I just take my normal dose with breakfast or should I up it to 8mg as a one off.

Introducing myself - symptoms worsening, seeking a diagnosis (sorry for the long post!!)
Okay, I thought, that's the end of that. 2019 - Due to another medical condition, I spent a lot of the year on
antibiotics
, which may or may not be relevant.

ANTIBIOTICS AND EYLEA INJECTION ARE THEY COMPATIBLE?
I may have to have a course of
antibiotics
from my dentist at the same time or close to an Eylea injection. Is this OK or can they affect each other? Should there be a time space between? Many thanks in advance

Cyanocobalamin and Antibiotics
Many thanks for the replies on cyanocobalamin. And about the effects of penicillin on B12. One point raised was so true:it takes longer to get better and heal from anything if there is PA or B12 deficiency present.Happy Christmas everyone. And thank you for your support in the past few months.

Antibiotics and b13
I've just taken a 7 day course, 3x500mg per day, for dental reasons, and feel as if this is just the aftermath of
antibiotics
or my PA symptoms have returned. Had an injection the day after the course ended. My level of B12 high before the penicillin. Any thoughts?

aspiration pneumonia and trouble swallowing
For a moment, we feared we might lose him, but after a change of
antibiotics
he got better. Meaning the pneumonia got better. We are still VERY worried bc even though his blood tests show he is better, his overall situation seems bad.

Upset after consultation
I had
antibiotics
back in Feb and came off the Baricitinib for a week and then was referred for colonoscopy/biopsies. I spoke to helpline and nurse said they don't give Baricitinib if you have stomach problems.

one final chance of survival
She has a lot of fluid around her lungs and pneumonia at the bottom that the
antibiotics
are not clearing. They said the chance of survival is extremely low because she can’t breath without the ventilator.
