Immunosuppressed- whooping cough
I had a chest infection on top which
antibiotics
have helped- now finished. I’m using steam inhalations and a room humidifier but have been told not to use cough syrups. There does not appear to be anything medics can do to help.

During this time I thought I'd developed a UTI (listed as a side effect of Travatan) and was given a course of
antibiotics
which very nearly killed me. Months later my eye pressures started to rise and I was diagnosed with open angle glaucoma - a listed delayed side effect of the
antibiotics
.

Antibiotics
Hi everyone... feeling pretty dreadful right now... I was in theatre yesterday due to an infected sebaceous cyst on my back that just appeared overnight. In the last few days I had erythromycin for 3 days which severely upset my stomach followed by 6 days of clarithromycin...neither helped. Now I'm on

Made it home ok thanks all. Another day another saga.
She said she thought it was Pneumonia like last time & I needed IV
antibiotics
. I already suspected this. However I need blood tests & X Ray first & they were now closed. I told her I would finish my Doxycycline tomorrow & so She sent a prescription for Amoxicillin to Boots electronically.

surgery
I guess the primary risk would be infection and types of anesthesia and
antibiotics
..? Is anyone familiar with this? My primary care doc said one of the greatest risk is throwing a clot, and with my slightly low platelets (130’s-140’s) would be in my favor. Any information is most welcome.

deranged LFT and Gallbladder perforation
So I was put on
antibiotics
for 6 weeks and discharged. I’ve recently had more pain and discomfort and had bloods last week which have come back and I have had deranged LFT so was wondering if anyone else has had similar and what the outcome was.

Asthma, pneumonia A&E and admission
Day 4 of
antibiotics
with review at day 5. Still coughing loads when I get out of bed and my arms look like two pin cushions. Bored and little sleep but I know I am the right place.

Periorbital necrotizing sweet syndrome
Antibiotics
for infection don’t work in the treatment of NSS, and wound debridement must be avoided due to a pathergy response.

Overcoming Pneumonia Susceptibility
In my opinion it was hospital acquired pneumonia, where you catch a really deadly form of the bug, that had mutated to a point where
antibiotics
don't have much affect. You might want to google hospital acquired pneumonia.

New here looking for some help!
I was flying to the US in a few days so called the GP for some
antibiotics
just in case it turned into a chest infection. Which it didn’t. Once I got to the US it got soooooo much worse. I ended uk with tonsillitis so used the
antibiotics
I’d gotten from the GP.

Knee pain driving me round the bend !
By the time I’d left hospital the pain, swelling had all gone; presumably the
antibiotics
and steroid treatment I’d been given helped ‘everything else’ However the type of knee pain I’m now experiencing is very similar to 12 months ago but just made the association as I Intially thought I’d damage

Tinnitus louder than usual
I had inflammation in my right ear with headache, doctor gave me Otomize, but the headache was still there, went back to the doctor told me to see a pharmacist, they gave me nurofen, didn’t help, went back to the doctor again, they gave me
antibiotics
and codeine, this seemed to make my headaches worse

Persistant cough
My GP has treated me with
antibiotics
and inhalers with no effect the only thing that stops it for a few weeks is steroids. Chest X-Ray showed only that my lungs looked a bit smaller than usual. The GP can hear crackles at the base of my lungs.
