Who do I trust???
I have some family members set on the idea that medications are bad for you and doctors are out to harm you! I've tried everything to NOT have to take medication BUT nothing has worked!!! SO....It's medications for me at least for now. I believe natural remedies work for some people but not for me. However

Humidifier
Did you know you can make a humidifier to fight your winter colds with your slow-cooker? Just take your slow cooker into the bedroom, fill it with water and add either eucalyptus oil or a dollop of Vicks vaporub. Then, turn it on low with the lid off, and you will wake up breathing much easier.

This is an update of a previous post. The number of compounds that help in the test tube or mice is overwhelming. Unfortunately, there is not a standard test to determine which ones reach the human brain and work the best. It's not possible to take all of them. But the long list gives hope: there

MSM Black seed oil and Extra vigin cod liver oil
Hi everyone, since stepping up my MSM intake to 10000mg in total, daily in 2 doses, I just feel even better. I buy the 99.9% organic pure crystals, really cheap, put 1 heaped tsp, together with 1 tsp of ascorbic acid, in warm water to dissolve them properly. Pretty bitter, but not that bad. Do not

Advice on adrenal and thyroid test results please
I’ve recently had my adrenals and thyroid re-tested to check progress, specifically to judge whether my adrenals have recovered sufficiently to withstand the rigours of surgery which I may need in the next year or so. Note that Genova changed the reference ranges in 2015 – which doesn’t help interpretation

T3 from USA??
Hi, I've tried T4 only & no improvements, then tried NDT (naturethroid) & can only tolerate 0.5 grain twice a day. Any more & I get palpitations & a wired feeling. Do you think it's worth trying T3 only? My bloods showed lowish T3 (3.6 - 4) & slightly elevated TSH (between 3.6 - 4.6). 24hr thyroid

Diffuser and essential oils
Hi all, These might not work for everyone but they do for me. I got some Frankincense essential oil last year as I read it is good at healing/helping with brain injuries. It has helped with my injury and that was by inhaling it straight from the bottle. I have now got a diffuser and that makes me

borage oil
Has anyone tried Borage oil in larger doses foe the cysts? I've read it helped someone get rid of the painful cysts. Others tried Primrose oil and swear it reduces the excrutiatingly painful periods in women with endo. Has anyone had any experience with these two supplements?

So Far, So Good.
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Xmas. I only joined this group recently after finding it in the net last week. Although it was sad to read how badly people were suffering, it was also a relief to read that I'm not crazy! My story is similar to most. I'm 34, and my RLS started when I was in my

Spots on chin
Hi - I have been off the pill for two years now and still get constant spots on my chin. I have read about it potentially being dairy related / hormonal. I take evening primrose oil and use products which are a mixture of own brand sensitive skin and elemis sensitive skin. I want to get to the bottom

Sleep
Feel a bit guilty today, I slept until 8:45, my Hub and Daughter was so quite this morning and let me sleep in. I haven't slept this late for I don't know how long, but I do like to see my Daughter before she goes to school, so waiting for break time to face time her. These fish oil tabs must be working
