I am new to this forum but have found it really informative over past few months as had never heard of APS prior to my diagnosis. Since my recent diagnosis of APS and Fibromyalgia ( May 2017) I have been really struggling with symptoms. Been started on Hydroxychloroquine, and Amitriptyline but not helped

Amitriptyline. Anyone like or dislike?
Can’t quite make my mind up. It certainly did the job carmine my bladder. From going every 30 min at its worst after tea. Now I can go hours in between going to the loo. My bladder was shrunken, and I had intertestrial cystitis. But the doctor said it would work in time. I kicked it into touch

An opinion from the sleep specialist
Continuing my trudge through the various bits of the NHS, this morning, I was seen by a consultant specialising in sleep disorders. His main conclusion was that medicine struggles with conditions like mine/ours because it has become too narrowly specialised. Systemic auto-immune disorders affect all

concerns about amitriptyline
I have just been reading a worrying report about a young woman`s suicide because she had developed bowel problems caused by Pelvic floor dyssynergia - which she developed as a result of taking amitriptyline.
